As long as the race mods are creative like the Gran Turismo 2 versions. Not the Generic Gr on the side.

Unless we get a livery editor, no real need for this "RM" anymore.

I wanna be able to RM a miata by sticking a big o'll V12 in it and given it 650 hp!

Theres many, but mainly a few stand out to me
Caterham Fireblade
Focus ST
Mini Cooper. <--Because why not?

PS: Also PDI...add this when you wish. Thank you.

Every road car. Though I still wonder about RMs overlapping with standard modifications.

Should a RMed car be absolutely maxed out (engine wise as well) or simply one with extensive tweaks to aero and the body structure (welds, removal of excess material, silhouette style body etc) that are not possible with normal modifications?

(E.g. The latter like NFS Shift's idea of 'works conversion' but without the drivetrain mods, where the original cockpit is gone and pretty much everything is carbon fiber.)

Im thinking we should be able to RM the Miata so you can have Spec-Miata type races.

You can already do this in GT5 with Miata TC.

Anyway, all road cars should have a RM available for it. And why ask how many when we don't even know the number of cars that'll be in GT6?

All cars but the ones that already have race versions.

That applies to a whole number of cars. Just off the top of my head, the Honda NSX, the Subaru Impreza, the Nissan Skyline (R32-R35), the Toyota Supra, the EK Honda Civic, and a whole lot more. You sure you don't want RMs for these cars?

Anything that makes sense being a racecar... and considering even hybrids and electric cars are getting turned into racecars these days... all of them.

The difference is that the three cars you just listed are in no way related to the respective road versions of those cars. As far as I know, they are only aesthetically related. On the other hand, the RMed cars in game have a similar chassis with their road car counterparts.

I agree with those above who say all cars should be rm'able 👍

Its do-able in Forza 4 so Sony's flagship PS racing game should too

Actually, the Nismo Leaf RC shares quite a bit with the normal Leaf.

I was simply listing them as examples that you can turn anything into a racecar nowadays, so there's no reason that every single car doesn't have the potential to be a RM. Trucks and SUV's on the other hand....

Everything.

RM's should be highly customizable too, with engine swapping, ability to change the drivetrain, and the engine left separate with the ability to tune or detune it. We should also get tons of chassis and aero options in the RM itself to make many variations of race car.

I can see, for example, GTP race organizes creating their own classes of race car. They would share the specific modifications with those who want to enter their race, and those people could make their own cars that comply to the race rules, just like with real racing.

If I'm honest, I don't care. I'd rather have a livery editor and better tuning options so that we can do it ourselves and be more creative.

I think they could replace the whole RM versions as they currently are with both a stripped interior option (basically the racecar cockpit view now offered on RM's and which would reduce the weight) and a separate RM exterior option alongside the other visual customization options already available.
That way you could create a full RM version (both exterior/interior) or something closer to a Cup car (only the interior stripped and possibly a wing added), or just have a roadcar which only looks like a racecar.
Basically separating the default RM cockpit view from its exterior which I think can be done relatively easy, add a livery editor and there's a whole range of different cars to be made using the same model.

If none are, we should have livery editor. If all are, they should be able to be livery edited.

If none are, I'll wonder what PD is doing. A livery editor does not equate to RM's. They are completely separate things and GT6 should have both.

Everything that isn't a race car.

No reason not to. Livery editor would be preferred, or the licensing extent of GT2, but I'm even ok with the basic white we have now.

I want more RMs!

A livery editor isn't a replacement for RM options, like some seem to think. The race modification is mostly functional in nature, and covers things that a livery editor couldn't possibly do.

The in-game tuning would need thorough revamping to match what is done via race modification, then the livery editor would take over from there, and allow players to paint their cars.

Really, having all three would be preferable. Some cars might not really need to get an RM option, though. For example, aside from the Honda Beat, Autozam AZ-1 and Suzuki Cappucino, it's doubtful that many would care about RM options for Kei-class cars. How about a VW Kubelwagen Typ82 RM? Yeah, didn't think so.

On the other hand, there are plenty of other cars that could benefit from the RM treatment, and hopefully they get the proper attention from PD.

Completely agree.

You know, an RM option could make some cars more interesting for a lot of players and perhaps sometimes it makes even more sense to have an RM option for cars which in itself aren't very exciting, subjectively speaking.
Especially when they continue the DLC-TC approach whereby the TC-versions also received more power than the road versions they're based on.

And yeah, an RM-Kubelwagen makes no sense whatsoever with this being an historical military vehicle, however I would welcome a Samba RM as that, although on the face of it unlikely, is something that's being done in real life (meaning completely re-engineered, mostly Porsche-engined 'specials' as pictured below), nevermind a Beetle RM (which needn't be questioned at all).

If they won't add a Samba RM then please add a T1 Transporter 'van' version if a livery editor is added, would be fun creating a lot of period commercial vans. :D
