Because petrol gives higher BHP.

In the grand scheme of things, there have been very few diesel performance and race cars. And even then, of those cars with diesel engines, the top performance models were usually petrol.

The sports diesel is still a relatively recent phenomenon, but I am sure there will be more in GT6 (remember, there were pretty much b*gger all in GT4 and previous!).

OH I thought most of those BMWs where diesel and that seat was tdi I though

Torque is just power per stroke. BHP takes into account the RPM as higher RPM= more strokes per minute.

No.. Your thinking of the beetle RSI. It's a 3.2lt vr6 petrol.
