How many hours of play we think GT5 should or might have?

As others have said, I'm still playing GT4 periodically, and that was a day one purchase for me. Still haven't raced an enduro.

If you took a stopwatch and timed the average good player who completed GT5 100%, I think 5-600 hours isn't unlikely. And as for many us here, no limit.

What, not any Enduro at all? I couldn't get to 25% fast enough. I hope Endurance racing will be possible from day 1 in GT5.

Depends how good other games are when it comes out ;) At least 100 hours in GT5, but beyond that, it depends what the competition is like, particularly on PC sims.

gt5 will give me years of play fun just as gt4 still pick up and play it a few times a week. so i think gt5 will be played alott at start en a bit lesser along the road just as i did with gt4

I think you are going to have to think about how the game is structured before you even attempt to answer that question. say for example, that the facility to download new championships is included? or you have the ability to have international leaderboards in online competitions? how about events that can only be completed online, say a real world tyre championship? if you sit back and think, you may come up with various options of your own which means that essentially there may be no set limit to the game hours. then again you also have to consider people like me, who completed the game twice at 100%, once using only road tyres as much as possible!

Yes, i aggree.

WOW, you finnish twice at 100%, me too, my PS2 memory card failed.

For me, I think it'll be played everyday until GT6 is released..... At least, if it's as good as GT4

(I still play that often now) 👍

Depends if you play online.

My opinion is once you reach 100% completiton the game comes alive because you then have the option of hotlapping in every car and racing online with every car. How we play GT5 will be considerably different to previous GT games.

Personally I can see myself playing GT5 every day for the next 5yrs or until GT6 comes along. Let me put it this way my Xbox live subscription will be cancelled the day GT5 is released!

So if GT5p kept us relatively entertained for 2 years with 5 tracks and 60 cars, and we assume GT5 will have the rumored 90 odd tracks and 600 odd cars, that should be good for 360 years...

Sadly we'll all be dead before we experience 25% of it. ;)

Remember DLC and patches. :sly:

Put it this way: Gran Turismo 5 is the king of all racers. You won't need another racer until GT6 with 5, and add to that all of the DLC and patches Polophony will add. I won't ever get bored of this game, like with LittleBigPlanet but 10x bigger: there's a lot at the start and it is constantly getting expanded.

We'll also see an increase of content with the rumoured track editor if we can share it to the community.

To me, GT5 will keep be going until GT6, and only time will tell if I buy another racer from GT5's release until GT6.

Funny you say that because I said the other night to my friends if the structure of the leaderboards on GT5 is the same as GT5P then there won't be enough time to compete on every leaderboard.

What im going to find difficult is whilst plodding through the career can I resist the temptation of playing online or hotlapping. The answer will probably be a combination of all 3 during a gaming session.

One thing though im not going to attempt to race through the career. I want to slowly do this and saviour the game.

To be honest from what i remember i played GT1 every day of the week probably until GT2 came out that's alot of consumed time there.I didn't get on with the graphics with GT2 ( too blocky & too much tearing ) so that limited playing time for me.The physics i thought was good though.Next i bought GT3 A-Spec and played that do death ( tip Complex String is very good at exploiting the nature of each car, modified or not & great for testing cars too ).I completed GT3 many times and 95% of the time won all gold cups.GT4 is a good game but minus Complex String which i was miffed about, oh well Sai La Vie or however you spell it.I won't allow GT5 to consume many hours this time i forbid it.

With this being my favorite type of game, I estimate I will spend 100's of hours. I would say I spent 300+ hours on Forza 2 & that only had about a 3rd as many tracks, similar on GT4. The online really boosts the hours spent playing with many a long night with some good people. I just hope more people invest in a headset to talk over PSN I dont play online much on the PS3 but when I do there seems to be very few who communicate. For all the 360's faults at least Microsoft had the foresight to include a headset with their machines.

If the track editor is in GT5 and is shared online and DLC for cars and tracks to buy, car mods and livery editor too. We will never stop playing until they come out with a new PS console that is not backward compatible and move on too the next GTversion for it.
