I've read some hot discussions about the Sebastian Vettel challenge and how hard it is...people already struggle to get bronze.
I'm just wondering how many folks on the forums will ever own one.

I mean you have to get to lvl 30 and then master the challenge. The more activ members in here will own it of course, but the lion part of the community are more likely to be casual racers, as much as the other 5.4 million people.

I also wonder how many people actually know about the X1 in general.
The question is, will casual gamers get to lvl 30 alone and then get bronze?

I think of all the people playing GT5, there is a really small % of people that own or will own a X1, maybe 10%. I'm lvl 21 by now and I sure get to lvl 30 and I think I'm good enough to get bronze at least, but think outside the box.

What do you think?

lvl35 bspec unlocks one of the X1's and yes the X1 Challenge is fairly dam hard but its more about adjusting to the speed of everything, i gave it a quick go last night and was considerably better 30mins later

I suspect many casual players will probably ditch the game once they have reached level 26, particularly if they go on a spending spree as getting the money back without the special events can be tedious.

Alright, didn't know about the B-Spec lvl 35 thing.
I should maybe start playing B-Spec then...never ever played it.

Still, B-Spec lvl 35 is pretty unlikely for casual gamers.

Ditched the game already, can't be bothered with the insane grind past lv26, I'll play it again when and if there is some new content as DLC, fingers crossed!

You can buy one at level 40 for 20 mil so everyone can have one, if they're willing to grind of course. Or get one on trade.

Much easier to grind to 35 on B-Spec to get one for free, as it has been states a gazillion times in this threa alone :P

Hi All got mine today - and the cool thing is the xp for bronze leveled me right up to 31.

My setup

G27
Traction control OFF ( floor it at the standing start and then just ease the throttle a tad and it hooks up real good - so much grip it won't wheel spin out of the chicanes)
ABS 1
Other assists off

Once you have been around the track and learn a bit about what speeds it does in corners then brake a little earlier, turn the wheel HEAPS and throttle through the corner, it carries awesome speed and as long as you don't brake too late it's all good. At Monza straightline the Roggia in 3rd across the kerbs.

It's an awesome car, rather like the Formula GT but faster!!

Hahaha, I'm determined to get this thing now. I just recently started B- Spec (tonight actually), and my driver is lvl 3, while my A Spec is lvl 9...long way to go, but something to look forward to.

Which one do you get for B-spec? I know the challenge is bronze = Vettel, silver = random colour, gold = carbon but haven't heard any confirmation on the B-spec reward yet.

One guy said his was blue from level 35 B-Spec so I assume it is the same one I got for Bronze.

Yeah grinding B-Spec to level 35 is going to take a really long time, I doubt most people won't give B-Spec that kind of investment.

It is not that bad once you get to level 26 just start Bob off in an endurance race before you go to watch tv or before you go to bed or off to work or school and in a week or so ...

What exactly is the matter with lvl 26?

You are at that point where you either commit to the endurance races, grind Indy a million times or drop out.

The casual gamer cbf grinding and doing 9 hour Tsukuba Challenges so they just pull out.

I just got level 26, and can see this happening to me.

I'm going to own one some way. either trade, bronzing at level 30 (which i doubt since everyone says it's hard) or level 35 B-Spec. Which I think I'm doing the last one already level 11 in like a day or so. Hopefully will get it within a week or 2

I have no doubt that when i get the time to unlock and attempt the challenges that i will be able to complete them without too much difficulty.

How long does it take to go from level 26 to 27 just by doing races that arent especially long? They need to patch it so online races give XP

Wait till you get behind the wheel and see what kind of time you have to get. It can be done but far from easy. I was 9 seconds to slow for bronze on my first attempt. Took several tries but I did get it.

idk just got to level 26 in a-spec and thinking about giving up till they fix this crap have to do same boring race to level or a long boring 4hr endurance that im never going to do

Did the grand valley and i was bored tired of that 1hr and 30 min race

To be honest if you're bored driving then you're probably just gonna get bored driving with the X1 as well, same goes for any car. The grind can be tedious, so try not grinding for a while, just chill out and play some events for fun and you'll be surprised at how many credits rolled in while you weren't even actively seeking them out.

I have the worst case of OCD when it comes to Gran Turismo in general. I have to have EVERYTHING. If that mean grinding away for hours at a time then so be it, theres always a pause button. It's not like you gotta sit there for ages. B-Spec is like set it and forget it.
