How many ppl do you think will own a X1?

Lack of events will stop most of the people from getting one.
You are at that point where you either commit to the endurance races, grind Indy a million times or drop out.

The casual gamer cbf grinding and doing 9 hour Tsukuba Challenges so they just pull out.

I just got level 26, and can see this happening to me.
Because this is so true. ^

After people win win every A-spec event (except endurance ones). What's the point to grind? Ok, maybe to get level 30 and try to win X1 challenge, but after that? Grind hard to get a chance to not turn your PS3 for a few days, because there's no save feature in endurance races (and again, in 24 hour races there's more than 1 driver ( i think it's 3 or 4, not sure)... ). No thanks, really, i have a life and no any reason to torture myself and my PS3 with a ~4 days long race.
There's should've been 3x more events or 3x more exp for wins. Maybe PD will add exp/money for online races, then it will make a bit more sense than now.
And B-Spec... Watching AIs racing with each other and no 3x or 5x rewind option? Thanks, but no thanks, i would rather play to GT5 or anything else, than watch noob AI's racing.

I just got the x1 about 1hr ago, it's amazing.
I don't know why everyone is complaining about how hard it is. All the challenges to all up about only 1:30hr to do. Soooo much fun!

A lot of people will own them, but some people who are desperate need some patience. I see members offering their full garages for one and I have been asked about 50 times to give them one of mine. Remember GT5 gives 4 away as gifts, you just need patience to earn them (level 35 B spec if you arn't too good behind the wheel)

I think anyone who really wants one will get one. They will either do the challenge and win it, or they will go to the level where it is gifted to them. Takes a little time but is very easy to B-Spec up to level 35 or they will find a way to trade for one or even buy it from someone with real money.

I think everyone owes it to themselves to try the challenge and try to earn it. Yes it is a challenge but it is a lot of fun. Everytime I hit a corner all I could think was OMG. On the first try I was flying and I was 10 seconds to slow. A few more laps and I had the trophy. Same on each track though Suzuka took a bit longer and Monza went pretty quickly. I think I could have did Suzuka in less tries but I got interupted and had to come back to it later.

I found the bronze time in Vettel challange feels like gold on license, but slightly harder.
It's just SO fast. 0-200 is done in like 1 sec. I thought i'd be ready for it but man. It's really something else. I'm not suprised that it kicks an F1 car's behind.. Not in the least.

I consider myself above average with pad, but when i got the challenge, it's so damn hard to even keep it on the track with the required speed, I can finish the 2 laps without errors but 7 sec off bronze. I know where to look for speed, precise steering, early throttle, flat out at Shumacher S, etc. But it's near impossible to do these with a Pad. When it has less corners, I bronze Monza in a few tries. But Nur and Suzuka is just near impossible for most people with pads. Time to invest a wheel, no kidding.

First time i did it I was 34(!) seconds off. If anything I find that the sheer acceleration of the thing makes it more difficult. Also I'm not use to the "sucking" effect, so i always ease of the throtte more than i should, go slower through the corners etc. Also it's very difficult to follow the lines when you have about 1 seconds to react, brake and turn from 300 km/h..

edit/ I'm getting this by grinding B-spec. 6 lvl 30 endurance race.. Should take about 4-5 races to 31. Then i'll just go on like that.. On a slightly off topic note, does anyone know what the level 40 reward is?

I never really wanted this fantasy fake car in general but have one. Basically when I am away from my ps3 (which is a lot), I let my Bspec driver go on joy rides. My Bspec level hit 35 last night, and I had the car in the delivery truck this morning. At level 30 Bspec I tried the Vettel challenge for maybe 30 mins and thought "well this is kind of ridiculous" and stopped trying cause I didn't even want the car. So then Bob got his time behind the wheel again, and he kept going at the endurance races while I was away. Lets just say he's breaking the X1 in at the 24hr Le Mans race lol. The only benefit of this car is that it will make my time easier for my Aspec endurance races (lvl 30). Other then that, for the "real driving simulator" this car is so fictional that it's not even fun to drive. Driving this for 20 mins, followed by getting into the Formula GT makes you relearn how to drive the F1. Imagine jumping from an X1 to a Honda Civic, "why does this car not grip the corners?!, why doesn't it do 300mph!????" It's good for kicks n giggles but after that, the fun factor is long gone with it. For those who actually want it, good luck. The easiest way to get it is really to just get your Bspec level to 35 while you enjoy real life.

I've been grinding the 3 european events in extreme, much more interesting than indy plus you can use any european car and you learn the tracks as a bonus. Did the Indy 500 today in A spec with the F GT, I could only get 39 laps from a tank lol wrecked my 4 stop strategy.

i struggled on suzuka for nearly a day and half, monza was too easy and nurb took bout 4 - 5 hours now im happy with it :D for bronzes that is as i have controller lol oh well but its very fast so u do have to get used to it :D alot of fun.

The challenge was a little frustrating but fun as well. I always like a good challenge. It is true that bronze on this event is harder than Gold on most events. Many events in game I have gotten gold on the first try. In that Level 16 rally challenge I got gold on the dirt first try and on the snow my second try I caught and passed the ghost and beat the gold target by 7 seconds.

Yet on the X1 I was 10 seconds off on Nurburgring the first time out. Then 9, 6, 4, 3, 1, .3 then I got it but there were several times where I had to restart in there as well.

btw even if you do not want the car, I can't imagion why but even so these events pay some serious xp and over 450k each for bronze and some good cash as well. Much better pay out than the endurance races in terms of XP and cash and should not take any longer than 4 hours to do all 3 events for most people.

Indeed, I went from barely level 30 to almost level 35 after getting all golds in the challenge.

WOW! interesting. im grinding threw bspec trying to get to level 30 and get this car. i am dieing for it!

I think the X1 should have been an A Spec LVL 40 prize..too many people will have it now and will make the X1 owners club as exclusive as the Toyota Camry owner's club

i have the level 35 X1 and i hate the color, i am saving up credits to buy it at level 40 with my own color of choice, i will trade my level 35 X1.

You can buy one at level 40 for 20 mil so everyone can have one, if they're willing to grind of course. Or get one on trade.

I got level 30 in B Spec and I got the option to buy one and play the challenge for one. Level 40 not needed.

Once online control of B-Spec races is available, anyone with the ability to click a few mouse buttons who wants the X1 should be able to do it without much effort.

Unlike A-Spec, B-Spec gets easier to manage once you get to the endurance races as you can 'set it and forget it'.

you can't buy the car if not lv40 (B-spec or A-spec).. you can only wacth the car at lv30.. lol

Yes you can't buy until level 40 but you don't have to just watch you ca win them.

Same here. Now I'm just thinking of whether or not to do the Le Mans 24 Hour soon :dopey:

Haha I was thinking the same but I have to keep my PS3 free for car gifting that will take place after this weekend in the infield forum.

All of the set it and forget it talk makes me nervous, my 60gig fatty has already been repaired twice. Leaving it running for hours straight makes me uneasy combined with the saves that cant be copied.

I might have the car..one day...far in the future.

I checked the tempature on mine after playing for a short while and it felt pretty warm in the warmest spot of the top.

I checked it again last night. It has been running for a week now and the tempature is the same as is was after just a short while. I see no issues with leaving it on.

In fact turning it on and off especially if you do so often can be more harmful than leaving it on constantly.

I did the same thing with my fatty when I first got it, after two repairs man and the save copy protection on this game I will admit I am VERY gun shy about doing it. My repairs were for the blu ray lens and most recently for the YLOD about a month ago.
