How many unpurchaseable cars? (and which ones)

If any of you actually saw the jag in UCD you are the luckiest people in the world since there is only a couple of you who have seen it there lol. The people who did say the got it there aren't even 100% sure that's where they got it from. Easy way to check is just go to the top gear event and if it says gold than you obviously got it from there. Especially if you only had one.

Why dont people read the whole thread instead of jumping in feet first, Just because you dont have doesnt make it rare.
Agreed!

That and if you read the fine print on MYGT, it states that "rarity" is calculated by the number of people who have it in their garage... That means those who dont have a MYGT account are excluded... Those that could have had it but didnt want it anymore get counted as they dont have it, etc...

There really is no such thing as a "rare" car... Some are more popular than others and others are just not desired (like the 50 different Skylines/RX7s/Miatas etc...) and others are REALLY hard to unlock (ex: X2010 Proto)

No, I dont open tickets (and only have Birthday 81, 65 and 97)... The only level tickets I have duped and opened are level 23 and level 24... The rest have all been muscle car tickets that I have duped on another account...

Maybe I did get it in a trade but I dont think so... I dont usually do trades for cars unless they are ones I am specifically looking for... I am perplexed over this now... lol

I think a thread about the XFR came up on here in the past 2 weeks and it has been bugging me since then how I got it... It makes no sense to me.... I even remember checking a few days ago if I had Golded the Advanced TGTT... Nope, definitely Silver...

ANY other way to get it? License or something (I dont think so, I think I remember going to MYGT and looking up the prize cars...)

It had to have been a trade... I just dont know why I would have traded for it...

One more time, lol. The only way to get this car is by golding that event, a 2010 ticket (don't know for sure on that but I assume so) and apparently another level ticket as an above poster stated. IT DOES NOT, AND WILL NOT SHOW UP IN THE UCD. You must have traded for it if you have it in triple 0's and didn't aquire it in any of the above ways. Not trying to sound like a know it all, but I do know this to be fact about this car that it DOES NOT appear in the UCD. Tell you guys what, anyone submitting a picture of this car in the UCD, I will send you anything you want in this game for a solid week. Thats 7 straight days of anything you want. Just fyi, I'm a graphics designer so don't even try photoshop, lol. I can spot even the best of fakes. Good luck, lmao.

I never once said I got my from the UCD... Not even ONCE! I know I did not get it from the UCD (because of its 0/0/0 status alone). I just cant remember how I got it without the gold.. Like I said I must have traded, I just cant remember why I wanted it...

* BTW I am a graphics/web designer/developer myself ;)

For the last time it is not rare. Its an easy win prize.

Never said it was rare. If you would read the entire thread, the debate is people are saying it shows up in the UCD which it does not and that fact does not make it rare. So maybe YOU should read the whole thread my friend. Its not about it being rare.

Then dont jump in feet first, my comment was aimed at those that have said it is rare.

I won an HPA R32 early on in my GT5 game and remember trying to decide to keep it or not. (Credits were hard to come by before seasonal events) I did sell it figuring I'd pick one up later.

I've been playing since about a week before release and have never seen it in the UCD.

How did you get hold of the game if as you state , playing about a week before release.

And you won't either. For all of you that insist that the HPA R32 and the Jag appear in the UCD, go back and read FAMINE's post. That pretty much sums it up. I'm done with this silly and pointless arguement. And fyi, there is no rare car in this game as they all can be had through tickets except for the DLC or special chrome line cars. Those are the only cars I would consider to be rare as you can not obtain those through regular game play. Any other car besides those that can be acquired through regular game play is not rare. I can prove it as I have all attainable cars in game and even multiples of most. Over 7,000 cars spread over 4 accounts and over 16,000 game days on my main, monitoring the UCD very closely. So, enough already of this pointless arguement.

Again you simply are the one that isnt reading peoples post. You attacked me even though I CLEARLY stated I DID NOT get it from the UCD that I was insisting it was there... Not a single post have I said its in the UCD.

Now you attack this guy who also reenforces exactly what you said that he NEVER SEEN IT in the UCD... NOBODY here is arguing now except for you!

Unfortunately they will not listen.

I did read his post, in fact I was responding to it, because I disagree. In time I'll see myself whether I'm right, or wrong.

It might be a lot of time

We've had several people working on the UCD "cycle" since day 1 (not me - I gave up and decided to play instead :D ) and with just about a million data points collected, three Standard cars have never been seen in the UCD. These are the Buick Special, the HPA Stage II and the Jaguar XFR.

As I say every time this question pops up, if you do ever see any of these three cars, absolutely go to the UCD thread and tell everyone about it. We need your entire UCD list at the time (a photo would be nice) and knowledge of your day 1 UCD list would be helpful too (back up your save, delete it from the console and start a new game; when you're done, restore the save). It hasn't happened yet and we can't rule out that it will, since we've not even found the "end" of the cycle. Which is alarming.

I have a friend who works in a warehouse for a reasonably sized chain of game shops. I got it the same day that he took delivery.

I wasn't attacking you bro. My first sentence was just a statement. The rest of it, hence the phrase, for the rest of you, was for the other people that want to argue about those cars appearing in the UCD. Sorry if you thought I was attacking you, as you say, but I wasn't. Anyway, my offer still stands from my previous post (again, not meaning you, lol) show me a picture. Good luck.

I'll see to it, a couple months from now.

Now I have to make sure I have a camera prepared...

Okay, I'm curious. If these cars are not obtainable from the UCD, OCD or the NCD, where can they be obtained from?

GT academy cars -> By completing the Mercedes Benz academy special events?
Stealths -> By entering codes? How are they acquired? Where are they entered?
Chromelines -> By entering codes? How are they acquired? Where are they entered?
DLC CARS
Bonus prize cars from PD -> What are those? How to get?

These cars, are they amongst the 1068 listed cars in GT5? Are they all on this list?:
