I've been thinking about giving the game a rest. I am good at some sports games and some FPS shooters and I don't want to give up on them. However, I'm finding it hard to stop playing GT5, but I've been playing it everyday since launch. I was pretty good at other games like Fifa 11 and MLB The Show and I don't want to get rusty. Also, there are some big games coming out soon. And there is just so little time !:nervous:

I will stop playing this game when GT6 comes out.

If they dont make some major changes I'l be done except for online play now as I'm not going to do the level 30 and up races unless/until they make it so you can save a race in progress

If you do give up GT5, a cool new game to try with little hype will be Crysis 2. Its an FPS. Like a hybrid between Halo and CoD.

I'd like to try that, but first have to try Killzone 3. It's the most visually impressive game I've seen in that genre.

After I get the Ford GT40 Race Car and a Jetblau R8 LMS Race Car I'll call it a game :)

After that I'll let my PS3 get some rest... :)

I just hope to have my Xbox fixed by that time so I don't get bored :dopey:

I think playing GT5 gives the PS3 rest because it doesn't run on the laser. It's all running from the hard drive, if of course, you did the right thing by installing the whole game onto it.

I'm just a very versatile gamer, and should soon give some games a shot. However, racing season is beginning soon and I have a feeling that I won't be playing anything else that much until next Autumn!

I am only playing GT5 now after getting a bit tired of Red Dead Redemption. I'll keep playing GT5 exclusively until LA Noire comes out in May I believe.

I started playing Test Drive Unlimited 2 when it came out last week.
It is slowly replacing GT5, as I have run every race except A-Spec Endurance, and I own every car.
Good thing is that there is a new sub-forum for it here on GTP, so hopefully I get to drive with a lot of the same great members I have met here for GT5.
GT5 has better driving physics than TDU2, but there are a lot of things I like better about TDU2. If you could combine their strengths and remove their weakness, it would be a near perfect driving game.

I played RDR to 100% until GT5 came out. And I can't wait for LA Noire either. 👍

I've never really played much video games but have bought a new Playstation with every GT release. I've always been a big car fan so naturally Gran Turismo has always appealed to me.

I know myself and most of my friends with the same interest have played GT4 within the past year so I see myself playing GT5 until the next release.

I was waiting for GT5 to release before I bought my PS3 but my wife bought it for me last Christmas so I was stuck playing MW2 and Black Ops until GT5 came out. My daughter was born around the same time GT5 was released so I wasn't even planning on picking it up until later but My wife picked it up for me for Christmas without me even asking.

about 3 more weeks. then socom 4 beta comes out!

I've been playing Medal of Honor or one of my Ace Combat games while not playing GT5. I'm actually getting annoyed with GT5 because of all the issues with the game. Can't wait til Killzone 3 comes out and the new Ace Combat game comes out. Some good times are ahead!

I cracked yesterday, finally took my GT5 disc out of my PS3 where it has been since nov 25th. the reason? I had been putting off getting the vietnam dlc for Battlefield bad company 2 when one of my mates messaged me and told me how much fun it was.
He was right too, I spent 12 happy hours blasting my way through nam (words can not explain how much fun suicide bombing a tank with a tuk tuk is) until my beloved GT5 disc was reinserted at bedtime for bob to do his nightly 9 hr race.

Im about to leave for China for a year and I wasn't even thinking about bringing my ps3 with me until I got GT5 for x mas. Now the ps3 is making the trip with me and GT5 is the only game I've considered taking with me, maybe GTA4 but I didn't even think of that until just now.

I've only had the game a few weeks and to be honest.., it is probably going to be shelved very soon. I'm already at level 30, have a good car collection (I own almost all of the Premium Race Cars) not to mention countless other Premium and Standard vehicles.

However.., when NFS Shift 2 Unleashed and Dirt 3 come out.., GT5 will be forgotten. The number one reason that I'll leave this title soon is because the Arcade Mode is absolute rubbish. I don't race online, and repeating the same A/B Spec races over and over is a complete snooze fest.

I need a racing title to have a good balanced Arcade Mode.., and GT5's seems like they slapped it together less than a week before release.

So with that in mind.., other titles like NFS Shift 2, and Dirt 3 will soon be replacing GT5 for me.

I'll be playing until Shift 2 Unleashed comes out. I might return if SMS have TOTALLY lied through their teeth about the new physics and wheel FFB modes, but news seems to be good, so far.

Shift is a RACING game, not some Pokemon 'gotta-dupe-em-all' car collection game. Shift 1, for all it's physics problems, was ten times the FUN that GT5 is...

Sorry, just had to say that. Truly wish I didn't have to.

I will get Killzone 3 and recently got LBP2, but honestly, those games won't capture my attention like the previous versions did. GT5 is pretty much all I play and it will be that way for a long while. I just started the GTP WRS and that will obviously keep me very busy. I am also excited to see what GT Driver's Club turns into and have plenty to do in A-spec. This game will keep me very busy.

HONDA

Did you accept FR from Host_Killer_Jr?

F1 2010 is an incredible game.

Same for me ill keep GT5 for the sole reason of photography of my cars but soon its going to be NFS Shift 2 unleashed on my telly.

WOW... You guys don't get this game at all... Amateurs! RACE, GO ONLINE AND RACE.

You would RATHER moan and groan in a forum than RACE... Tune your cars (Suspension)... Make them faster.

I quit WoW some time ago was in an endgame raid guild and was far too addicted/involved etc lol. GT5 is filling my needs well atm. And I sometimes play fallout 3 on pc but not often, its mainly GT5. Will be playing for a long time my friend.

i feel no need to switch games at all. This game is the best ps3 title.
Racing online is great, i dont do any aspec one player crap.
Ill keep playing this until GT6 comes out

i do play other games when friends are over, but they get boring real quick.

Too late, I've already been playing, Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare for the past week.

I will be playing until the GT6 or "GT6: Prologue" release
