Immediate family = parents, siblings right?
Brother 1: '93 Formula = 375HP
'96 Yamaha FZR-1000 = 191 WHP
Brother 2: '93 Formula = 275HP
'98 Camaro V6 = 190HP
Dad: '96 Stratus = 140HP
Total = 1171HP
'Tis a shame I don't have mine no more, would help me out.

Total 715 hp--Pagani Zonda?

princess57_5_b.jpg

Volvo D12 boat engine, exactly 715hp :)

And for those wondering who to include, here's a definition.
immediate family

Close relatives by birth or marriage including siblings, parents, children, in-laws, and any financial dependents. The National Association of Securities Dealers restricts financial transactions between a broker-dealer and his or her immediate family.

Ok, Danny you can give me another 3hp because that site says the previa is 138hp :p

And can I have atleast.... 250 for all the other family members :(

For non-American cars, Parker's is a good resource.
I found a problem with that when I was looking up the stats on the Jazz

Code:
Car Year	Engine bhp
1.4i-DSI S 5d 02	1339 / 4	82
1.4i-DSI SE 5d 02	1339 / 4	80
1.4 i-DSi SE 5d 04	1339 / 4	81
1.4 i-DSi SE 5d (SR)	04	1339 / 4	81
1.4i-DSi SE 5d CVT-7	02	1339 / 4	80
1.4i-DSI SE Sport 5d	02	1339 / 4	82
1.4 i-DSi SE 5d CVT-7	04	1339 / 4	81

They all have an identical engine! So, I went with Honda as they said 83bhp!

I'm doing immediate family only, unlike you cheaters:

222hp - my 1996 Volvo 850 Turbo (2.3-liter 5-cylinder turbo)
210hp - brother's 2001 Ford Explorer Sport (4.0-liter V6)
200hp - mother's 2003 Mazda Tribute (3.0-liter V6)
135hp - father's 1998 Toyota Camry (2.2-liter 4-cylinder)

Total: 767hp.

Adding my most immediate extended family:

106hp - aunt's 2001 Toyota Corolla
165hp - aunt's 1998 Subaru Outback
135hp - aunt's 1995 Toyota Camry
190hp - cousin's 2003 Chevrolet S-10
110hp - cousin's 2002 Ford Focus
215hp - aunt's 2002 Dodge Intrepid
240hp - uncle's 2004 Infiniti QX4
190hp - cousin's 1996 Chevrolet Blazer
203hp - cousin's 2006 Ford Freestyle
165hp - cousin's 2002 Subaru Forester

The total of those is 1,719 for an overall total of 2,486 - which is exactly why we shouldn't be using extended family!

EDIT: what we REALLY should be doing is horsepower PER family member - mine would then be 192hp, or a bit more than a Pontiac Torrent. Which is ****.

Let us know how it goes, I'm extra interested how the cam is after that cam thread. :)

I will. (If the dang thing ever gets finished) I'm really upset that I didn't get to be as involved in the installation and mechanical work.:irked: But, that's another story, and there's always Dad's '54. Was that an accurate guess? or was it really far off?

If I added my two sisters, It would be up by another 440 ish. :dopey: (95 suburban and 2004 Durango V6)

Slicks
Oh, and
1977 GlasPly 28' - 520 hp
:scared: What's it got!? A 468!?

YSSMAN
Damn, bested by High-Test!
Most of them are vehicles my dad uses (or lets employees use) for various community development projects in his hometown. He also tried to get a Church pew company to Marceline from Garnett, KS, but that was a total disaster.(the guy he got to run it died of cancer, and with him, the company died too. I liked the guy.. He was pretty cool.:() So, now he has two heavy duty trucks that are lying dormant for now.

Mine was just me, my other half, my dad, my brother and his wife. 1269 for 5 people = 254hp/person.

Though my dad makes up 400hp of it (one car), and my brother 465hp (two cars).

Okay, okay, you win et cetera.

So.

I total about 240BHP, with our Saab 95's 150bhp and our Golf's 90bhp.

Edit: And I'd really like to see that Atom.

Hmmm, that's a strange one. Reminds me of this bash quote:

Dad:
- BMW E60 M5 = 507hp
- Porsche Cayenne Turbo = 450hp
- BMW K1200 = 163hp
- Honda Goldwing = 118hp
- Boat with volvo 5.7L engine = 280hp

Mom:
- Volvo S60 T5 = 247hp

Me:
-BMW E39 M5 = 400hp
-Corrado G60 (with mods) = 220hp
-Ducati 999 = 140hp

Older Brother:
-Oldsmobile LSS supercharged = 240hp
-VW Scirroco 16v = 145hp

Younger Brother
- Honda Civic = 106hp

TOTAL = 3016hp

Oh man. My family is pitiful compared to the rest.

Toyota Camry Wagon - 130hp
VW Golf Gti - 112hp
The "Mighty" Mira - A rip-roaring 3 cylinders of fury and aggression which scream their way to 54hp.

296hp all up.

Edit: Posting after Powripper does not help me....

BTW Powripper I want your M5, the E39s are the best!

Then dont look at my edit...:D

Yeah, its a fun car! I think its rated at 394hp, but with my kelleners exhaust, I rounded up to 400.

Close relatives by birth or marriage including siblings, parents, children, in-laws, and any financial dependents. The National Association of Securities Dealers restricts financial transactions between a broker-dealer and his or her immediate family.
So according to that, I can include vehicles owned by myself, my wife, mom, dad, 2 brothers, 3 sisters, Father and mother out-laws, 3 brother out-laws, 2 brother in-laws and 2 sister out-laws? Even figuring only 100 hp/person, I am up to 1800hp. I'll get to running numbers later.

Well, if we are to alter to immediate family:

ME: 115 BHP '96 Volkswagen Jetta Wolfsburg
BROTHER: 89 BHP '88 Mazda 323 SE
MOM: 125 BHP: '95 Toyota Camry "Special Edition"
THOR (Dad): 425 BHP '68 Chevrolet Camaro
THOR (Dad): 295 BHP '05 Chevrolet Avalanche LS 4X4
STEPMOM: 291 BHP '03 GMC Envoy SLT

So 1544 BHP for the family, about 309 BHP per-person, or just about a 2006 Chevrolet Impala SS per-person, and a Briggs-Straton lawn mower as well.

Toyota 4Runner - 245hp
Dodge Intrepid - 202hp
Total: 447hp

Saab 900 - 215 Bhp - Mum
Saab 99 - 180 Bhp - Dad
BMW Compact M - 225 Bhp - Shared
Lancia Delta Intergrallie - 191 Bhp - Dad
Lancia Fulvia - 115 Bhp - Dad

926 Bhp

These are vauge guesses of what my Dad has told me over the past, please say if I've made a mistake.

My household?

That'll be just the freelander then...

A pitiful 112bhp...

Now, brothers and sisters add quite a bit.

Brother 1: VW Caravelle (130bhp) + Citroen Xantia Diesel (92bhp)
Brother 2: Citroen Picasso (117bhp) + Nissan Primastar (100bhp)
Sister 1: Ford Ka (68bhp) + Vauxhall Astra 1.3 (90bhp)
Sister: 2: Seat Alhambra (115bhp) + Land Rover Discovery Mk1 Diesel (previously ours :p) (i think it's 90bhp)
Sister 3: Hyundai Sonata (143bhp) + Ford Mondeo Estate (115bhp)

Total: 1172bhp, give or take a bit for the disco :dopey:

I think it's the size of my family that made it so high, rather than the cars (the highest, depressingly being an alhambra followed by a caravelle...).

My dad has a Seat Altea 2.0 TDI - 140hp
My sis has a Golf GL MkIII - 90hp
My mom doesn't have a car
I have a 323i Bimmer - 170hp

Result: 400hp :nervous:

Damn, I gotta work out what my other relatives drive.

Takumi Fujiwara
Well, there's my AE86 with the Gr.A motor, that's about 200PS, and my dad's STi Ver. VI, about 280...

Just kidding.

WRX (Mine) - 227HP
G35 (Dad's) - 298HP
Prius (Mom's) - ~150HP

675HP.

Try 76hp for the Prius.

If I added all of my family AND some of the racecars they drove, id be here all day
That's the problem I have right now. Of the top of my head, there are 22 vehicles that I could list. Based on the ones I know (12), averaging them and multiplying by 22, I come up with 4820. :scared:

I guess we need some proper rules here.
Street legal, land based vehicles only?

No, but you just answered my question anyway. My direct family, meaning my parents and siblings, has 400hp. Of course, I can scrape all my relatives together and get huge numbers, but as longs as that happens, we don't get proper figures. What I've got in mind is to restrict it to certain family members.

Anyone who shares some of your genes (parents, grandparents and siblings, but not siblings' children) and anyone you or they are knocking boots with (step-parents, siblings-in-law). Sums it up just fine for me.

A what? There wasn't an M Compact. Most powerful compact was the 2.5l with ~190bhp.
Maybe he's talking about the M Coupe? Though the least powerful one of those had 240hp, and that was US-only, and even then it was limited to '98-'00 (in '01 they got the 333hp M3 engine - yummmm).

Ebiggs
Try 76hp for the Prius

You and I (and just about every authority on the subject) think it's 76hp but don't ever try to convince a Prius owner of that - they're convinced that the horsepower should include both the gasoline AND electric motors, despite the fact that they rarely operate simultaneously and when they do it's never at full power. To my knowledge the combined output is 143hp, but that's only in theory - it's never actually produced. I think the absolute peak is 110hp @ 5000rpm.

Dad:
Ferrari 360 Spider: 395hp
GMC Yukon: 295hp
Mercedes 190SL: 105hp
Porsche Carrera Cab: 325hp
Studebaker Avanti R2: 350hp
Studebaker Champ I6: 200hp
Studebaker GT Hawk: 250hp
Triumph TR-6: 110hp (power isn't everything! This car ROCKS!)
Volvo S60 T6: 280hp

Sister:
Merc C230K: 200hp

Me:
Nissan Z: 305hp

Total of 2815 horsepower. I would be extremely close to powripper if my dad had his new cars already (both 996TT Cab S and F430 Spider, coming in October:grumpy: ) ;)
