How realistic are the karts?

Is there anyone here who's driven a kart in real life? How does it compare to GT5?

Yes, it is very accurate steering feeling wise, but I have not raced in karts that go that fast.

Same here, the karts handle realistically but these ones are way faster.

Very realistic for the chassis. They did a great job. Power wise they are missing the ability to blip the throttle to pitch the kart and actually drift it through corners but that isn't really needed except for tighter tracks. They need to drop 4-5 teeth for these tracks. Steering is a bit off because the physics act like the rear is all the way out and the front is all the way in which is very wrong for high speed cornering.

Absolutely accurate. I took the Bondurant Superkart school and except for not shifting it was spot-on.

The braking is wrong force feedback wise and regarding oversteer. In fact, the entire FFB is wrong as the steering feels numb a bit. Top speed is wrong for a kt100s.

And they did hit the speed right for a 100cc air cooled engine. We've got a couple of street races here where we are upwards of 72mph in a restricted engine and around 82mph in the pipe (which these are)

We've got several races and long straights over here where you can pick up 5 kart lengths in the draft.

Same here. Overall feel is very good. Top speed I wasn't too sure about. And racing the karts is a LOT of fun. One of the game's real bright spots. 👍

Been a while since ive been karting but I wasnt really impressed they felt way too skittish in the game for my liking nothing like when ive driven/ridden a kart in real life

ive been 80mph in a kart before and yes they handle about the same. They are so much fun to drive, in the game and real life

the sense of speed isnt there though imo there aren't even bumps either

I raced rotax before it absolutely insane sometimes on small tracks with EVERYONE around you its crazy.
