Hiya guys. for a couple of months ive had a problem with a user that uses more then one account. First started on GT5 but now its on GT6. I have no clue of his this Users age but guessing id say he about 18-19, hes racist and extremely rude to people and because of that i wont nothing to do with him but doesn't seem to be able to get this into his thick skull.

Now Last week for the millionth time, i refused to be friends with this user, after he was offensive calling a German User a Nazi for no reason. Then not long after he messaged begging me to be friend again, i told him straight, i refuse to be friends because as i find him rude, racist and disrespectful and immature. next i got messages from him saying "go die b**ch" & "you will die soon" which shook me up and upset me.

So tonight for the first time since i got those messages, i went on GT6 and joined a lobby and about 25-30mins later this User joins, now at first i was ok with them as i didn't know it was the same user, then i realized who it was, i told him not to bother me, he then starts sending me PMs saying i was taking it to heart (death threats are not something i can ignore), so i told him i would contact PSN for harassment if he didn't stop bothering me, then i blocked him. then he started ramming me on track (like that's going to do anything) but im worried hes going to wreck GT6 for me by giving me grief online. Is there any way of blocking people so you can't see them in lobby's?

Sorry if that dragged on, just wanted to explain best i could, how serious the matter was.

What Ameer said.

But there's no such way to exclude an user if you're not the host, you can only ask the host to kick him out and hope that he listens to you :indiff:

Put all known and future accounts said user creates and put all on your block list.

If all else fails, troll the troll, with a troll account.

Do as the others have said, but don't troll him back as it could get your account closed by PSN.

You can also try hosting your own races so that you can kick anyone you don't want in your room.

You can submit a "Grief Report" for each offensive text message you receive from him my using the menu accessed via the Triangle button & scrolling down to the bottom.

Like others have said, once someone is added to your PSN Block List they can never send you anymore messages on that account, nor can they enter any lobbies in GT on it.

Also, DON'T FEED THE TROLLS! If you respond in anyway you'll just encourage him, that's what he wants, a reaction. Completely ignore him & eventually he'll get bored & go away.

👍

The down side to that(blocking a user) is, if your friends are in a lobby and said user happens to be in it, you can not join, until you get the host to kick them. If the host is willing to of course.

Half the people here, would not even be surprised, if I mentioned a quarter of the abusive trolling you have experienced, but in Drag Racing Lobbies. Probably years of it, have helped me let it go right over my head.

By trolling. I meant create a account of pink or doo doo brown(matte brown) cars, beat him a few times, sit back grab your favorite drink. And get a few :lol::lol: out of the stupidity of their immature / uneducated messages. I did not mean drop to his level of abuse, kill them with kindness and clean wins with no response to any comments. All it takes is one response and they think they have you hook, line and sinker.

Doing what EF12345678 said, will get you banned.

Out of curiosity, how did he find out that you're female? If it was through this site you should report him to @Jordan. I'm not sure if even he'll be able to justify banning him here (although as it's a dictatorship he probably can :sly:), but it'll alert him to keep an eye on that member for his extremely unacceptable behaviour. Unfortunately, the only real way I can think of to get him to leave you alone completely is to use a new PSN account with a new name and keep your identity hidden, but that is not an action that anyone should feel they need to take. You can't let fear ruin your social life. I think you'll just have to do as VBR said and report all his offensive messages on PSN, then ignore his immature behaviour when he joins a lobby you're in and block the new account. Idiots like him always get bored eventually.

ill just ignore him if he starts again. my husbands knows and has an account, so hes on alert just in case he starts up and will have mature but firm words with him.
Having your husband, or anyone converse with him is a mistake. Trolls have only one item in their diet - attention. No matter what you say on your end, good, bad, angry, sad, its feeding the troll and he's enjoying every second of it. Block him on your PSN list, have no more contact with him, and if he contacts you just report him.

I once called up PS Support to report a user that was really bothering me. I love PSN for the PS3 because you don't have to pay a subscription fee for online, but that becomes a problem when a user gets one account banned, then can make a new one instantly.

personally i think the ban should be of the IP address not account

That won't work either. If they know what they're doing, they'd be back on in a few minutes. Best thing you can do is just put him on your block list.

I suggested a console ban, but they said it's not possible since the user didn't have a prior history of reports. The operator said that she put him on a "list" so they could keep watch and take action, should more reports come in.

Console ban won't work either....there are ways to get around everything. Like I said, just put them on your block list, that's the best you can do really. Even then though, if they wanted to troll bad enough there are ways around that too. Ultimately, the best advice here has already been given. Trolls feed on attention. Ignore them and eventually they will go away and find someone else to feed them. I've had many experiences with these attention hounds and that's the best thing you can do.

thank you :)

Don't feed the troll. They don't have a life, their only outlet is to try to cause tension in someone else's. As hard as it seems to do, do not respond to them at all. Ignore their nasty little troll comments. Never give them the the attention they crave.

I do agree that you should just block them and completely ignore them. If they do make/have other accounts, block those too whenever they pop up. Pathetic people like that only have an attention span so big, and they will get bored of trying eventually. It's a shame that your PS3 experience is filled with trolls like these, but I'm afraid that's just how it is sometimes, especially in the virtual world, where these little people can hide behind their screen and believe that making other peoples' lives a misery somehow makes up for their own being shoddy.

Hearing things like this really upsets me, it's sad that people have nothing better to do then be rude, make racial or sexual comments for no reason, or just straight up troll. I feel for you on this matter, trolling is considered a form of cyber bullying but unfortunately it can't be stopped it can only be treated. As others have said, the best thing to do is to try to ignore it and not feed the troll, eventually he will lose interest and go away the only bad thing is that he will do the same thing to another person. I am 100% against any kind of bullying so this pains me to think about but there really isn't anything that can be done besides sending a grief report, calling Sony and make them aware of the situation so they can look into it, and/or ignoring and banning the person.
