How to brake properly in F1 25?

Hello,
yesterday I purchased F1 25 as my first F1 EA game. I'm used to playing other games like GT7 or ACC but never tried EA F1.

I have troubles with braking and do not know if this is my fault or not. It seems like in F1 25 I need to brake on the straight line only and then let the car rotate through the corner without touching brakes or it does not turn. Am I braking wrong? I use Expert settings with all assists off.

In GT7 there are some formula cars which allow me to trail brake (release brakes gradually). But if I try this in F1 25 it does not work, car does not start turning untill I release brakes completely. I am a bit confused about this and do not know if this is normal behavior of formula cars or I am braking wrong or there is a bug in game or I need to chaneg some settings or…

You are right, thanks. I lock up tires because in GT7 braking works differently.
I started learning to brake the proper way and things go way better now. I still lock up but not in every turn. :)
 
Any tips how to learn braking without ABS?
I found that it is not easy to jump from braking with ABS (in GT7) to braking without (in F1 25). I cannot find any video tutorial on YouTube so the best I could come up with myself is driving Time Trials and trying and trying.

I would appreciate tips, links…
