That contacts every moderator and unless the AUP has been broken or the discussion turned sour it's not really what the report button is for. Just look for a Mod in the current online user list, buy premium and close it yourself or as Jordan said just leave it open.
@Mods, would it be better to report the thread or message a mod, because I know some mods can only moderate certain places and I'd imagine Famine and Jordan would get most of the messages if you asked someone to PM a random mod.
^ If something needs to be reported (ie - an AUP violation), use the report button, don't PM a Moderator just because they are online. For all you know, he just went offline and won't see the PM for 3 days.
However, as Jordan said, if you simply want a thread closed for no apparent reason, that's not likely to happen. Also, Greyfox is correct - abuse of the Report button will result in a warning/infraction.
