"I would like to know why a 4000 lb 320HP car that's more than 10 years old selling for 6g's...is "bogus"????"

Ever heard of the Supra?

330hp 4000lb Supras that are 13 years old are selling for $30k!

This car is the same story. Just, to a lesser extent.

As for many of the kids driving hot cars, they often have basically made paying for their car their life's work. Once the car and apartment payments are deducted from their paychecks, they have nothing. A lot of them really don't buy them with their parents' money.

That's me right there.

Well, not totally. I'm still living at home, I couldn't afford an apartment in a decent (read: safe) part of town if I didn't have a single other expense, with the money I'm making now, here in LA.

But, everything I earn that doesn't go to food or smokes goes to the car payment, gas, and parts/mods.

3000Gt's havn't been in Fast and the Furious....And 3000GT's can't make 1200HP..
and 3000GT's arn't as common in the "Street races" as supras are..

It's only practical that the supra's retail value will still be up there....

Point is..Go to a dealer, how much will they give you for a supra?
like 5k-9.....tops..

700$/Month? That's INSANE. I'm looking at $3950/yr through Chubb. I don't drive that much. Maybe 5k miles a year, IF that. I have summer jobs. And don't worry, I've done the research on the car. :)

The only two people on this board that I've heard about first cars would be Doug and McLarenF1GTR - both given their first cars. The majority of people I know are given first cars. (Whether it be a new SL500, or mom's 20yo Volvo 240.

I don't know why you feel the need to say you have an extremely wealthy family... It seems pretty random. It doesn't have that much to do with wealth.

Why don't you destroy McLarenF1GTR, he got a 3000GT VR4 for his first car! (Thats what, $30,000?)

It's too bad you're so close-minded that you see me as a "little rich girl". It's sad, really.

You paid for your car. Heard ya the first time. That's great, I said I respected it, Mmmkay?
Yeah...like I got a hailstorm dented, crap interior, broken front bumper, and hardly any working lights on a car I got for $30,000.

It was $15,000 and falling apart. How do I know? Because it came straight from the Used lot from downtown with "$15,000!!!" still on the freaking windshield
.
And you're driving around a Cayenne while your dad owns a Maserati, and you are getting a 20 car garage.
Well you know what? For a Texan who lives in a Upper Class neighborhood of Texas, that seems to spell out R-I-C-H right there, now don't it?!

How many Texans you see over here with money to make a new house and new big ass garage? Zero. We're content over here.
And though you may not be the spoiled rich girl who gets what she wants, that's putting aside the fact that your family has money.

Paying for half the price? Big Whoop-te-do.
Pay for a $30,000 car with money left to you, pay for any repairs and upgrades to it, and upkeep the insurance yourself....

Then come talk to me about who has the rich family.

EDIT: And to those who actually know where most of my family lives, don't bring up the rich ****. And I'll make it short as to why.

I broke some family tradition bull****, so now I'm not particulary, "1st in line for the money."

Look E55, you're family has money. You can't deny that. Hell, your dad's Gates compared to the people here in Plano. But wait till you head to college. Then tell me...who will pay for your college? The same people who pay for "half" of your car? The same people who pay for the insurance and all that? Oh wait...haven't been told that yet. Mom and Dad going to finance your little Mercedes? Because buying half of it and then leaving any other money issues with it to your parents is a bunch of "I'm not rich" bull****.

Manage your own godd*mn car before you tell me you're not 1 inch of being rich.

I can picture the single white female driving a whie navigator on 26" rims...With the loudest stereo on the block..

MAN IS SHE COOL!

If only my uncle was smart enough to know the difference between a deal and rip-off, might have a better car. Hell, maybe better living conditions. Then he again, he's down right stupid most of the time.

I don't think anyone around here is driving the brand new $70k Jag a saw a FRESHMAN girl driving around campus last week, anyway. It's one thing to buy your kid a new car to go to school. Or even a really nice car. But that just puts all the formerly spoiled rich freshman kids driving new BMWs to shame. You ever heard of someone with more money than sense? That girl will never be happy with any guy she ever dates.
