Like the title says. I want to find a hotmail address of someone. I can"t ask this person directly but I want to surprise her and add her to my msn list.

How can I find her email address without asking someone else or asking her?

:)

Do you have a commonly used alias for the person? Google can usually turn up random forums they've registered on, and most will give you their email address.
Forum name, AIM name, game user names, all work pretty well for finding information like that.

You can try the same thing with a real name, but it's much, MUCH, harder.

No, I don't.

Tried that but I gave up.

Maybe I'll just ask her but that will ruin the surprise, oh well....

Uh, is this a girl you like? Randomly adding girls to MSN does not work. They get freaked because you’re acting like a stalker. FACT.

From experience?

Anyway if all you've got is a real name, Myspace/Facebook is generally your only options.

Yeah, actually talking to her face-to-face > searching the internet for her e-mail address.

I took Blake's advice and asked her if I could have her e-mail address. I told her if she doesn't want me to add her (msn messenger), simply say "no". But she agreed, smiled and gave me her e-mail address.

My first w00t ever!

Nice one, Chris ;) And a solid 👍 to Blake for some sterling advice.

I remember (in the days before the internets was invented) I tried to find a girl's phone number. All I had to go on was her name, the Edinburgh phone book and rampant teenage hormones . She had a relatively common surname, so I tried to find out as much about her as possible through other means, but failed miserably. (I was only ~15 at the time, but it was creepy nonetheless). In the end, I asked her for her phone number in school and she ended up calling me - longest telephone convo I ever had.. over two hours! :p

Someone PM Skid Mark 33 post 9.

Good to see you had the courage to do the sensible thing, Chris :)👍

Reading through this thread is like reading a scary book. You start with post one and are thinking "wait, is he going to try to ask her out via email because... DANGER!!". Then it's confirmed and the reader is thinking that there is no hope in sight. Then, suddenly, the hero of the story - Blake - flies in to save Kikie from certain doom.

And Kikie gets the girl... er... the girl's email address anyway.

I'm feeling something....
