ok so i went to the used car dealers and i found the four black prototype racers...but i dont have nearly enough money...

my question is will the cars go away forever if i go and earn the money....
and if they will go away forever, or for a while...is there any way i can win money on my file on my other memory card and then just transfer it or transfer a bunch of expensive cars to my main file on my main memory card

Used car lots work in cycles. You're probably somewhere on day 694 or so, because the black beauties appear every last seven days of a cycle (that'll be day 694 - day 700)

If you don't have the money now, wait another 700 days, and buy them then.

To long for waiting? Enter and quit races many times, buy a lot of wheels... Days pass by then.

Don't worry, they'll come back later on in the next cycle. The same goes for any used car actually.

You should do the 900k money trick at the German touring championship if u wanna earn big money fast.

Err. to pass the time, DON'T enter and quit races. Instead, PREVIEW them so they don't count as losses. Also, you can buy cars, do licenses, do missions, or just plain out race to pass the time. It'll take a while before the black cars show up again though...

The quickest possible way to pass time is not to preview races or buy wheels. It's to buy a wing and then remove it again. You can repeat this process MUCH faster than either of the other two methods.

If you dont want to wait 700 more days then you can sell some of your expensive cars if you have them. Copy your current data to your other memory card. Via the PS2 browser without the game inserted. Then sell as many cars as you need to and if you want some of your other cars back you can buy them from your copied memory card.

Yeah, I agree with you. Its funner and you can get some percentage added to your game

Do the 24h endurance races. If the cars are there for 6 day you could do atleast 5 that. At 1.2 mil a race that could be up to 6mil right there and it should only take 1 day per race right?, enough to buy 2-3 depending on which ones you buy. I think that would work.

Doesn't selling a car burn up a day? It would suck to sell your best cars then go back to see the lots had recycled! :scared:

edit: Also, if anyone has on-topic information that can be used in real life, I'd be very interested!

how did you get to day 694 and not have any money?!

I had to be careful to save a couple million for the cheap ones. I'm a compulsive used-car buyer (I've got plenty of cool ones that I haven't driven yet) and the used lots have a swack of 10KM used cars a couple weeks before the LMP's show up. There's lots of stuff to spend your money on!

buying a car makes a day go by as well, does it not?

You should just back up your save in the browser, and borrow someones gameshark or codebreaker or action replay. Get a billion million whatever CR and buy them all. Later when you earn the money, you may be able to buy them from your other memory card.

hahaha...yah got same prob (buying too many used cars) here but i learned my lesson from other cars i lost and im now not spending anything....lifes hard.

I've been buying alot of used cars, but I figured that I can just squeeze by and still get all of them. It doesn't matter if I buy them all at the same time, but rather that I get the GTone and 787b.

Acctually now that I think about it, you are right you could still make a few mil (probobly about 3.6) and still have enough time to buy a couple.

How much do these prototypes cost each? I was on day 612 when I found out about the existance of these cars so I've been doing the DTM race series. Each series burns up 7 days (5 to race, 1 to get the CLK-GTR and 1 to sell the CLK-GTR) but adds 150,000 credits in prize money and tacks on another 743,749 when I sell the CLK-GTR for a total of 893,749.

I figured in the time between 612 days and 694ish, I could do 11 or 12 series' and have a total of at least 9,831,239 plus whatever I had to start with; more if I do a twelfth series. This should be more than enough... I hope.

I've never seen these cars :s

i went to see every day from 360 - 380 in the used car s, but i couldnt find them :s
In what usercars can you find them? because there is "early '90, late '90 and so on...)

greetz

I found out about these cars and i was already at day 895 :grumpy:
So i kept racing and earning cash till they came back at around day 1394 approx.
