Over the years, the process to join SNAIL has evolved and been refined, much like SNAIL itself.

We have some requirements for joining the Sunday night racing series.

Never Raced in SNAIL? Click the below Spoiler button.
  1. Must be willing and able to read and follow instructions.
  2. Must agree to adhere to the SNAIL OLR, Policies and Guidelines while participating in the Sunday League Night and other SNAIL sanctioned series.
  3. Must be familiar with the Good Racecraft Guide.
  4. Must be willing and able to engage with SNAIL members and league management at GTPlanet.net/snail

If you agree to the above requirements, click the Spoiler tag/button below for more detail and next steps.

All Things SNAIL

  • The above link is the portal for everything SNAIL communicates on the forums here at GTPlanet.net
    • These forums are our primary means for Communication, Organization and Coordination (CO&C).
      • The main thread in the SNAIL sub forum is where most CO&C occurs.
    • We also ask you to make a post in that thread telling us how you found SNAIL. This lets the league know you're on the way.
  • The GTPlanet forum Direct Message system is where SNAIL Administrators will specifically contact members when appropriate.
    • It is a good idea, at the least, to set your GTPlanet profile preferences to send an email alert, at an address you will be able to check, for Direct Message notifications.

Read the Good Racecraft Guide

  • The guiding principles behind all on track behavior for SNAIL since inception.

Read the SNAIL OLR, Policies & Guidelines

  • These are the detailed rules of engagement for all aspects of SNAIL membership.

The Next Step;

  • Click, or tap, this link to create a GTPlanet Direct Message group to the SNAIL Board of Directors (BoD)
    • Click the Send Direct Message button at the bottom of the page.
    • Once you complete the 2 tasks and answer the question in the body of that message you will be given the last requirement, which will be a link to the instructions and submission form for the division placement time trial.
    • When your placement time trial has been completed and submitted successfully, you will be notified in this direct message group and the process to join SNAIL's Sunday League series is complete.
  • Check the Drivers/Grid list to discover what division you have been initially placed in.

If you have raced in SNAIL in the past, and would like to race again in the Sunday Night series, click the Spoiler button below.
  • Click this link to send a Direct Message to Dragonwhisky.
    • Click the Send Direct Message button at the bottom to initiate the contact.
      • If you like, you may add the answer to the question at the end of the pre-populated message body.
  • Depending on your length of absence from the Sunday night series, you may be exempted from running the Placement Time Trial (PTT).
    • Dragonwhisky will respond as soon as he can if you are exempt.
      • Running the PTT is not usually a bad thing in any case, as Gran Turismo experiences frequent changes to the physics model.
