How to make a working RPM meter?

SkylineGoes
So if someone knows how can I make it work, please tell me.

I doubt it works. If it was possible we'd be seeing working speedometers, tachometers, fuel gauges and other gauges by now. It's just for show I bet. I don't even know why'd he need one anyways when GT4 has one on the TV screen.

According to the tach I bought for my Hyundai, you need four wires:

A wire that connects to a source of electricity.

A wire that connects to any metal part of the car for a ground.

A wire that connects to another source of electricity for it to light up and night, and...

A wire that connects to the negative side of your ignition coil in your car.

Without anything for the tach to measure its RPMs (electricity and the ignition coil), you get a non-working meter.

Yeah I thought it was impossible to make it work. Thanks anyway guys! But you can't say it wouldn't be dead sexy to have a big RPM meter on the dash board of your wheel.

You could hook it up to a bike frame and pedal your ass off... (good luck with the F1 car :)) You'd at least get a real sense of exhaustion after a race

This has nothing to do with GT4 but why wouldn't it work?? You guys never heard of FREX???

Working Tachometer for PC CLICK HERE!!!! Click on SimConBASE in the menu on top of you screen. Download the movie file and you'll see

Why wouldnt it work?, it wouldnt simply because the tacho needs a "feed" from somewhere, and unless there is an option to option tacho data through the USB port, which I very much doubt there is, then there is absoloutly no way a tacho can read the in-game data.

The one you linked to is for the PC, and the PC is a lot more configurable with its outputs, hence why this product would work on the PC.

I remember that guy posting his pics. I'm almost certain that the tach was 100% cosmetic.
