How to: NASCAR over 892 Horsepower!

Do you have a NASCAR over 892 HP?

If so, I'm looking for info on how this happens since "normal" oil changes and driving habits result in a "normal" maximum power rating of 892 hp.


However there are players out there with NASCARS that produce over the "normal" horsepower.


I've heard of 897, 902, 905, 907 and 910 horsepower numbers.


So if you have a NASCAR with over the standard 892 HP, please post your car number and the HP it makes.
 
they all start at the same horsepower.

"changing the oil" isn't helpful here.



To those that know...

892 is normal.

If you have a nascar over 892, then post, otherwise I'm not sure you're helping the thread
 
Yes, the increase in horsepower is from engine break-in.

I thought that was understood.



After engine break-in and appropriate oil changes, all NASCARS will make 892 horsepower.

However, sometimes for reasons that aren't known (to me at least), they can make over this magic number.


So... if you are one of the lucky people who managed to get over the 892 HP barrier in your Nascar, could you please post here with your car number and horsepower you make.


And if you happen to know what you did to get that power (changing oil is an obvious and moot answer). anything ASIDE from the obvious "oil change" would be appreciated.

Im guessing they reach max power and then go down a little just like the Veyron. Had mine at almost 1300 HP and now it sits at 1256 like everyone else
 
The Gamestop Camry (fantasy) NASCAR is the only one that goes above 892 HP. They gave it the performance boost because it's a pre-order bonus (just like the Stealth's and Chromelines). All other NASCARs have 892 max AFAIK.

To everyone:

NASCAR cars with over 897 HP are not available anymore since update 1.5
They used to be tunable, now they aren't anymore. You should have bought them earlier if you wanted 905 HP

Mines got 1400 miles and many rebuilds, it still only has 892 hp. :)

WRONG. The Gamestop car has the same HP as the other NASCAR cars which is 892. I have had this car since day one and it does not go over 892hp.
Also, you guys are confusing HP with BHP. 892HP. 905BHP. No NASCAR car goes over 892HP. Notice I said HP. There is 905BHP, its just a different measurement.
 
All my NASCAR cars are over 892bhp!!! I started to notice that after buying one 2011 car (I think it was the car with the duck(Aflac sponsor))... The trick is when you buy it immediately change oil, then just test it and after testing it change again the oil... This works fine for all cars!!!

Not quite right, BHP and HP actually convert the same.

All NASCAR cars have the same amount of power! The only difference is the conversion from country to country. I know people who have 905 Metric HP, or 905 CV, which both convert to 892 HP. I was really interested in this, but that's all there is to it. People need to get over it and realize they're all the same.

I thought I said that. Must have not made myself clear enough or you didn't understand what I wrote. Either way, we both are saying the same thing. I know the difference, I was just trying to explain it to these guys. They see 905bhp and think its 905hp, They are putting hp after the 905 which is wrong. Understand now?

How many times does it have to be repeated? Different regions use different units of measurement.
892 HP[international] = 904.372 (905) HP or PK[metric]. So the maximum power is the same.

KB18fan, your descriptions in this thread and the other are misleading at best, and plain wrong at worst. You don't understand the difference between horsepower and brake horsepower, although in relation to this and the other thread is irrelevant, as the difference in numbers people are seeing is just down to the measurement units used I.e. metric or imperial horsepower.

No if you have them all... Now for the stupid part of your thread I will agree that NASCAR is a bit stupid sport... I'm European and used in other kind of motor-sports!!!

Well, I know what I'm trying to say even tho you don't. Sorry if I'm not making myself clear enough for you. At the end of the day, all NASCAR cars have the same HP, period. And yes, I do know the difference between HP and BHP. So please Fandango, get off my back about it.
