How to play GT5P online with some friends?

Hi,

I'm almost sure that at this time is a really stupid question, but I had never play online (a lot of reasons), but now, we are 5 or 7 friends that finally each one of us has the PS3, GT5P, a G25 and each one of us has made his own cockpit.

I would like to know were I could find the info on learning how to have a race on line.

If that can't be done, is there a way to conect each PS3 and play in the same race at the same time in a LAN conection?


Sorry for the questions, these are newbie questions but I should start somewere asking...

All of you should set the game clock via the internet so that you're all exactly on the same time. Pick a time to start (to the second), and press start. After that it's luck.
 
I use the 'Text Chatroom' feature of the xmb. Up to 16 people can join a text chat room.

...then just enter the same event online (the screen where you can see the camera flying around the track and you can set your tune options, driving aids etc) and send a "GO!" message to your buddies in the room. At that point you all hit X at the same time.

I've used this many times to race with friends online, works every time.
