I searched around, but no avail. Anyone knows what program lets you slap in a PS1 game into the CPU and play? I used to be able to on my old Gateway computer but I forgot what program it was. :ouch:

You will need an emulator. You should bear in mind that most emulators are illegal as the console has usually been hacked in order to get the BIOS. I'm not sure of the exact legal implications so I'm not going to mention anymore in this thread.

I'm sure someone on here will be able to clarify the current legal situation on emulation although I believe it varies in different countries.

Gamefaqs has some information on emulation. http://www.gamefaqs.com/features/help/entry.html?cat=24

The other thing to bear in mind is that they're a total pain to get working. I've wasted hours trying to get one to work, and in the end the novelty wore off and I just played it on my PS2 instead. And, those who do get it working are generally unimpressed by the quality of gameplay.

You can find a few by googling PS1 emulators. Just don't waste your time trying to figure out why it doesn't work.

Agreed. You get one element working only to find the sound stops working. Configuring a controller is a also a complete pain.

Ohh thanks, I never knew it was illegal. :scared: My stephmother must have done this in order to slap it in the gateway.
