The post number is right next to the posting time and date. If you click on that number, then you can see the single post 👍
Ninja Edit: Wait, that just goes straight to it in the thread, nvm![]()

Actually that method still works but you need to turn the showthread part of the URL into showpost.
EDIT: Ahhh not as simple as that anymore, it needs to be modified twice, like this:
Code:https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showpost.php?p=5076127
from this:
Code:https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=194453#post5076127
I've highlighted the parts that need to be changed.
The way I use is to click on the number of posts in a thread. That brings up a box with names and amount of posts. Click on the number of posts next to the user who made the post you wish to link to. You then get a list of that person's post in the thread. If you click on the link that is the first line of text in the post, it takes you straight to the post. Copy the link.

It's a bit convoluted, but there's no manual editing required.
It doesn't always work that way though.Isn't that the same as clicking the little number on your post by the date and time? In your case the number 7.
I just made some tweaks so you can grab the unique post link and it will always work for everyone. I don't like links to the "single post" page, as it's jarring to read them out of context and it's annoying as a webmaster when other sites links to those pages. You can still construct your own URLs to those pages if you want, though.Yes, ive commented on this before in the GTX thread, I still swear that its impossible to directly link exact posts to members with different posts per page settings.
Jordan, is it possible to have the links changed back to how Floats has posted it above?
You won't have to do that any more, daan. The numbered link will always work as expected now.The way I use is to click on the number of posts in a thread. As someone who was doing it the same way as daan, I think I speak for the group when I say THANK YOU!You won't have to do that any more, daan. The numbered link will always work as expected now.
