I'm having a lot of trouble with the 15 minute races, and it's really aggravating.
I somehow managed to win the Apricot Hill race, but I had to do some c----r c-----g to do it.
The car I am using is the RX7 Amemiya that I won as a prize car.
At Ascari, I virtually have no shot, no matter how well I seem to drive. Highest I've gotten is 2nd place, but I finished 20+ seconds behind the McLaren F1.
At Nurburgring, I can do very well, but if I so much as get one wheel on the grass at 100+, the car spins out. Today, I was about to catch the leaders with a couple laps to go, but the rear wheels went away on me, and I ran out of time to make the pass for the win.
Another time, I was running second, about three seconds from the McLaren, when the car spun out.
I've purchased Stage 2 turbo, bought Sports Medium tires, and made a weight reduction.
The RX7 Amemiya is the only bonafide race car I have in my stable. (I just recently got the #24 Jeff Gordon stock car, but it's way too heavy to drive against the nimbler competition) It's also a pretty damn good race car, but it can only do so much, plus if I put one wheel off into the grass, it's race over.
I have about 2.5 million credits as of now. Should I keep tinkering with the RX-7 some more and find that PERFECT setup? Because I want to run this car in the GT500 and the 600 PP World Championship as well.
Or should I go out and buy another car?
Any help is appreciated.
