How Will PD Deal With The SSR7 Glitch?

PD will insert a really tight small high banked oval under the bridge for all those folks who can't do donuts but want to run sub 2.0sec laps- you know, so they can actually finish a race.

What they should do is make it so that when you enter through the hole in the wall the game suddenly changes to the x2010 challenge & immediately does a game save so you cant do anything else in GT5 & until you've golded the challenge......sorted.

Or

Move the monkey from the tree in trial mountain & sit him on the wall to throw bananas at your car as soon as you slow down to go through the hole. If you get through you're allowed to donut & earn as much as much as you like but 1 hit from a banana deletes your save file.........oooooh the gamble

Roadworks, with the wall blocked off with cones. Sit at some lights for 5 mins then some fat bloke on a quad with his arse hanging out turns up and makes you follow him round the turn, then sets you on your way :)

Simple, they'll ban SSR7 from being used online. Wouldn't be the first time they'd chosen an annoying solution over a good one.

that track sucks anyway - if they decide to get rid of it...at least temporarily, so be it!

i'd never drive on ssr7 otherwise.

Something dumb and pointless that hurts more people than SSR7 exploiters and does not really fix the issue:
-More than two donuts in a row = teleport to starting line
-Off-track/pavement = speed limited to 1mph
-Cross finish line in a slide = -1 to lap counter
-Mileage off-track accumulates at 10000x pace and GTR rebuild cost >gazillion.

How about a big button that says 'Give me ALL the cars, ALL the upgrades, ALL the License Tests golded, Special Events golded, Seasonal Events golded, A-Spec completely golded, B-Spec completely golded, ALL the Trophies, and 20M credits'

Then these 🤬 can all go on to another Pokemon game, finally happy they have completely beaten GT5... :sly:

I have everything gold, Races, licenses, Events (except the S.Vettel = Bronze) and cause i bought GT5 when it was released, i have golden all seasonal events ever released........and still i was at level 33... only needed about 20 cheap cars to complete all 1034 cars and also b-spec was in level 40 and finished.....next race ( or anything available to do ) was the 9h tsukuba that you need to be level 35.......give me a break.

A long last game, is a game that you do different things every time, not same things over and over again....not even to a more difficult level for a change.

I fully understand anyone that use the glitch, i did, cause i refuse for the mistakes of PD or anyone responsible.... to turn into a veg playing same boring races 1000 times.........
+Plus that as long as someone that uses the glitch cant or wont overtake me by using a fiat500, wile i am driving a Pagani...it doesnt bothers me at all.

PD should let it be, at least till they fix that superb idiotic XP system by adding more races.

No-one HAS to repeat the same race over and over and over again...

You can repeat ALL of the races if you want to. People only choose to grind Like the Wind, etc. because that's the most money for the least time. But it's not like you get NO money for repeating other races...

I agree (see my sig) that PD should up the overall A-Spec events radically (and adding the Seasonals to it rather than having them expire might be a good, if lazy, start), but if you are resorting to spinning as relief from grinding Indy, you are the cause of your boredom to a large extent, not the game...

TBH, at this point in the game, I'd rather see online rewards dramatically increased, but XP and cr reduced dramatically as you make contact with other drivers above a 'rubbing' strength. That would do away with the grind, and do away with much bashing, too. Who's going to want to win a race if they get no reward for it?

But, if you are mindlessly doing the same oval over and over offline, that's your own fault...

Destinykeys, please not another lecture about kids wanting to finish the game. It's getting old and this thread is not for that.

And we're all dumb kids who don't know how to play our own video game. Comprende? Now feel better.

Cheers.

I think you are getting a bit too literal... sure you can grind all the tracks over and over, but when you hit the point of doing it becuase you have to, not because it's fun anymore, variety doesn't really matter anymore... the only difference at that point is how fast you can get through the grind, which is why it absolutely makes the most sense to grind the most $/min.

What you are saying amounts to:

If you have to hit your fingers with a hammer, you could hit each one in order instead of hitting the same one over and over again.

Well sure, you could, but does it really matter?

People aren't so much complaining about the fact they are hitting one finger over and over again but rather than they have to hit their fingers at all...

No, what they are mostly complaining about is that they have to use a hammer at all. They would rather someone just hire a carpenter FOR them (for free!)

I agree that 120-ish A-Spec events are too few, but, in all fairness, would another 400 stop these people from wanting a cheap, easy cheat instead of actually DRIVING to reward up?

Too darn few of them, IMO...

Bottom line is, why are most people grinding? To get cash to get more cars. There's PLENTY that won't do the Endurances until PD emasculate those (I personally think PD should bring out a limited number of saves per Endurance race, and they have to finished before you do another race at all - practice or arcade or online - or it's a joke the cr and XP you get for doing nothing more than a series of short sprints).

But if PD addded in 400 new A-Spec events with reward cars for ALL, for those of us that prefer driving (or actually, racing!:sly: ) that would be the end of it. But you HONESTLY think that many wouldn't continue to look for every possible exploit and use it unmercifully?! :yuck:

Simple solution....:sly:

It's not like it would be a problem.

PD should just add an unlock all option. I get that it's not been in GT games before, and that those who like the traditional GT formula wouldn't care for it. But it would keep them from playing as they want either, so I see no reason to oppose it. It's not like PD would have to change the entire game, just allow people to get around the tedious aspects of it if they desired.

They will either:

A.) Introduce a meaningful driver level system by removing XP from the equation and basing it on online wins/losses, license level, time trials etc. which will result in:
1. Driver level finally becoming an adequate representation of driver skill which will in turn give us a nice useful index for online matchmaking
2. Render glitching for xp completely useless.

or

B.) Increase level cap to 4000 so they can assign precious development time to more pressing matters like accurately modeling trunk liner stitching and ensuring we have proper reflections on radio knobs.

To do what with the money? i didnt/dont need the money, as i said i was only 20 "cheap" cars away from having all 1034 cars.

Now that makes sense.....to endlessly grind around indy, that takes longer and its even more boring, cause you are alone and doesnt reward you that much ...... is more fun than making donuts for about 7-8 mins talking to your mates. You are joking right?

TBH, at this point in the game, I'd rather see online rewards dramatically increased, but XP and cr reduced dramatically as you make contact with other drivers above a 'rubbing' strength. eeee..... everyone that plays online already?
You think that all this people (including me) that play online play for the rewards? you honestly believe that?

But, if you are mindlessly doing the same oval over and over offline, that's your own fault...
That is why i have stopped playing a-spec over a month now, and i was stuck in level 33, the game was over for me actually, i was just searching this last missing cars and racing on-line for an hour or so.
There was nothing more to do.
At least now i can finally play the 9h Tsukuba.

When i have won every bloody trophy challenge gold how i ask from anyone else anything??

You are very very wrong in this, if people didnt wanted to level up or didnt liked challenges, they wouldent get gold in everything, and trust me i know a lot of people that have even the S.V. Challenge Gold and still use the glitch to level up.

As "I" many people dont need/care about money and grinding just to be able to get "access granted" for the next A-Spec Race.

No i dont think so i agree with that..... But till they do (if ever) i prefer people get easy money, get the cars that they want and get access to the races that they want instead of that boring grinding.

I send cars, paints, parts to many people, asking nothing. That bothers you too?
To close this up...GT is and always will be a "game", why so serious?....any actual/real reason to be so serious about a game? and how anyone else is playing it? ......i dont think so.....

Let's see, if I were thinking like PD, one possibility is they program a toll booth in the wall; cost: 3,000,000 credits. Another possibility, prevent all Skylines from turning right. :D

Remove the nurburghring and TGTT, along with Tskuba and hope everyone gets bored. Or make it so when driving off track on SSR7 the camera focuses on a nearby wall makes the car invisible and say 'Find the Nissan!'. It then shows a picture of a city containing no nissans and freezes there permanently.

they should have the guy who says " roads closed pizza boy" from fast and furious sitting there. or tactical nuke incoming. either way

Maybe they'll keep the glitch as its is... (people who want to glitch can glitch)
Then.. Maybe they'll remove the $1,000,000 Trade restriction, (Let Traders trade)...

Then... Hopefully, they start doing what they should be doing & keep us interested with cool updates, more racers / cars & those other things you expect out of 'Big name Title'

No, that would make entirely too much sense. This is PD we're talking about, remember?
