How Would Course DLC Work?

Having givin thought to DLC for GT5, I cam across something that could be very well why we haven't gotten any DLC, at least for courses. Let's say one person downloads a car. That car is the Edge Special. Well, you can use that online when everyone knows that you've downloaded it. Cars work.


But the real thing is how would tracks work? Would you be able to drive on them if another person bought a course, and use it like the Course Maker? What good woul that be because then you could just go online and drive it whenever you wanted without paying for it. That could be a problem.

Or, would they just do away with DLC tracks online? You'd buy and download them, but you'd be restricted from using it online? This kind of makes sense, but there would be many whiners from this.



So this makes me wonder if that's why they've delayed on releasing DLC, if any at all. Specifically track DLC. Let me know your thoughts.

It would be just like Call of Duty map packs. If you have them, you can use them online. If you don't, you're restricted to rooms/lobbies that don't have said track(s). Simple. Obviously, if you have the DLC, you would have the option to join rooms without it, in case a friend was in there or a set of clean racers.

It's def. something I would like and would pay good money for, but if they decide not to put it out, there's plenty enough to do. I'm not one of those that demands DLC.

Couldn't agree more 👍 Especially track break-ins & the damages left behind from implementing 690 racing suits & helmets. I'd rather have any kinds of game-damaging bugs, glitches, & exploits patched before continuing to add any more content.

Yep...

Highly doubt course DLC will get released - certainly not any iconic tracks. It just negates the reason to buy GT6 when those tracks will be included.

If we do get tracks, I expect them to be upscaled tracks from the past as part of a free update.

Its pretty stupid...If it can be done in midnight night club 3 which was on PS2 then I dont understand why it cant be done in GT5....reaaaaallllyyyyy stupid.....
