Hey all,

I'm not complaining but I just ran the Indy 500 again (almost to 30 and the X1 promised land) and the FGT car lost a bit over 50 horsepower over the course of the race. Now, granted, I'm going flat out for two plus hours but does this really happen to race cars in real life? The gameplay mechanic doesn't bother me, just want to know how much this happens in the real world. Thanks.

Sure it's not just the oil that needs changing? That would obviously make a difference in real life, but how much and how quickly I don't know.

The oil does need to be changed, which I do before and after the race, but still... Makes me wonder how many horses the endurance cars have left after twenty four hours around Sarthe...

I can hear the announcer, "The new Audi approaches the finish line at forty three kilometers an hour for a blistering final lap time of thirty two minutes and five seconds..."

yes very true in real life, as all mechanical wear. but as for the ingame if u never did engine rebuild b3fore the most u wuold get is 935 hp, if u bought the car and did the engine rebuild after oil change before even using the car, you would be able to pull 946 hp everytime u rebuild the engine.
