I haven't started the ice breaker race yet, i don't have the car in my garage. And i'm not looking forward to drive the Japan GT champ. in pro mode to win it.

Ughhh! I know!
I started it last night. The first race was @ Grand Valley, 15 laps! :mad:
Then I stopped when I hit the second race-20 laps at Apricot Hill. Oh man. This will take me awhile too!

I have to race in round 4 some more tonight when I get home from work! So I can post them up tonight!
 
I use the fastest car that I have!

I want to finish as quickly as possible. I actually have been using an Audi S4 that I hybrided to have 1400 HP! I usually get done rather quickly.

Just spoken to my flatmate, no xport yet! :(

If it's not there by Saturday morning i'll give them a bell. I've been googling this morning to see if i can find out what the difference may be between the xport and the sharkport saves. If i still have a blank by the end of the day i'll email codejunkies and find out if they know.
 
I really don't know why they made them differently? It's rather odd isn't it. But as far as I know, the differences are quite extensive "internally." I've read things about having to put in another computer chip to make it work.

Yeah very strange, would imagine that it's something to do with the difference between NTSC and PAL.

There may be a way around it with a conversion program. I would have thought that the save would be a list of instructions that would be common to the game (GT3) engine on how to display and what to display. A frame by frame save of a 10 lap replay would be far too big to fit on a little 8 meg memory card. I would think that the file would have a header that would be instructions on how to interpret the save game instructions, and that is the bit that will be different. The only thing is has anyone written something to covert between PAL and NTSC..... pretty unlikely.

Congrats on 600 posts, i'm about 50 behind you.

Not yet. I had to work late last night so I didn't get much of a chance to progress in that god awful long race series!
I will get it soon though! I didn't even get a chance to improve any of my Race 4 times either.

Tanks for the invitation, and I look forward to the new opportunities. I'm still stuck in VT for the remainder of the week, but homeward bound come Friday Afternoon.

I managed to get one enduro completed this weekend, due to a 3+ hour battle with a new Steering wheel. Said item has been returned to Circuit city as the frustration level was too high while using it. I'll try again come winter time.

Hey guys sorry to butt in on your team thread but i noticed Boombexus doing the races to get the mr-s and seeing you have sharkport i thought i'd help you out here is the gtd2 garage that jmr has on his site it has all the cars you'll need for the comp all set up with correct parts all you have to do is use an empty card make sure you back one up 1st ;)

@ The other 2 hurry and get your x-ports there's a pal garage too :)

Yeah, I was having some issues getting that garage download onto my memory card. I import the garage save from my computer but it wont show up in the PC Database screen in the Shark Port menu. This is what is troubling me. Thanks for posting that download, I will try to use it and see if I have any luck with it.
This all confuses me as I have never had an issue like this before when importing saves.

Hey Der Alta!

I read your post regarding the steering wheel. I had the same shifting issues with mine. That's the main reason it sits in my closet.

Ok, this is a HUGE let down! :(

I finally got the GTD2 garage onto my memory card! :)
It ended up that the problem that I was having was that when you import the garage and save it to the Shark Port's PC Database it is saved as GT3 Game Data. As I already had another file on the PC Database with the same name, I couldn't tell that it was there. So that dilema has now been ironed out! :) Added bounus to this is that you can have multiple GT3 Game Data's saved onto the computer but only have one memory card! But having another memory card will be the easier way.

On to the HUGE let down.

There is no MR-S Super Autobachs in that garage! :mad:
So I will still need to race that unbearably LONG series in order to get that car for the Spot race.

I will now double check to see if the download garage matches the car list that has been posted.

Really sorry to hear of your troubles Boombexus :( And i just realised something :o The Autobacs isn't in the drafting series i'm real sorry i just assumed it was coz Jean used it for the spot

Actually now that i think of it that garage may not be much use, i think they are going to be selecting more cars for the series because there isn't enough to go round the huge field of drivers :confused: Again... sorry :o

I had also assumed that the Autobacs would be in that garage also!
I'm just really glad that I got the whole issue of getting that garage onto my memory card worked out! :)

BTW, The garage and the listed cars all match so there is no issue there.
