Hey Boom I'll answer your question in here just to keep Talentless's thread nice and clean :D Yes I am looking forward to the start of the GTDS2, Last season was a blast especially on drafting day ( the day we pick car for next race ):D I can't imagine what it's going to be like this season though as it's like twice the size :eek:

The GT Three got 5th overall last season but I can see from the spotty going on that this time aint going to be an easy ride, very competative times being posted so far :eek: I need to retry that one ;)

Guys:

I did about 20 laps around SS5 II in teh Apex last night. Due to the wife working on the laptop, I wasn't able to load in Boom's replay for pointers. So I ran it on my own, against my ghost. Considering I've had about 5 hours of GT3 time in the last month (my mistress....the office) I ran a very slow 1'18.XXX near the beginning of the night. I set-up under Boom's settings, Although I felt a bit more comfortable running a 1.15 downforce instead of a 1.20. I managed to shave the time down to a 1'14.906. Split times are 23.872 and 44.194.

While this is still 0.400 seconds off the leader board, I have confidence that I can shave time off in three different corners. I also have the chance tonight to study Boom's replay so that should shave more time off. This should move me onto the leader board.

I'm amazed at how much I didn't know about this game. I've been playing with it for nearly a year now, and have pushed my record times much further.

We'll see how much more time drops off the boards tonight.

Here is the updated modifications to the NSX in Talentless's race series.


The official car is the Honda NSX Type S Zero which must be the purchase version only, assuming there is a version that can be won, and must be bought new.

These modifications are allowed

Sports muffler

Stage 1 NA

Computer chip or whatever

Semi-racing suspension

Racing brakes

Brake balance controller

Any clutch

Any flywheel

Medium soft tires

Stage 1 weight reduction

Oil change

That is now the car.

We will see which team can use it the best.

Oil changes:

You may oil change at the beginning then every 171 miles (275 kn)+ thereafter.

The course is Midfield Raceway 2. The reguirements are 5 laps in free run. Give the total time for each lap and the best overall time wins.

Pm times.
 
I made a small improvement on the spotty race:)

New time: 1.12.487

I still see 1 or 2 tenths of a sec coming off.

I haven't raced it again since that day I got the 1'04".704.
But I could still make some improvement on it.
Maby I'll give it another go tonight.

Have you had any luck with the Xport yet?

Once things get calmed down at work for Slip, send him some replays to him. Give him some pointers!

Every site i go to sells an X-port, but are temporary sold out:(
And the one site that has them, codejunkies.com has problems with registering, so i can't buy it:mad:

Well, as we all may have heard, Der Alta has resigned from HSB Racing Tech.
He has had some issues with "real life" that has left his free time at a minimum.
He will be missed, but there will always be a spot for him here!

I would like to make an announcement!

My little brother (hes actually 24) will be soon joining the ranks of GTPlanet and HSB Racing Tech!

He is quite the competent racer and has always given me a good run for my money! He will however need to practice as he is a little "rusty" now.
Please welcome him and he will be sitting in the "alternate" position that was left open by the unfortunate resignation of Der Alta.

I had 2 runs today, and came up with 2 totally different times with 2 strategies.

We really need to start thinking about our schedules!
I have not heard anything lately form Slip. Talentless' series will be running at the same time as the Drafting Series. We need to coordinate our time and efforts.
The Drafting Series will most certainly take presidence over Talentless' series, but I would like for us to really make an attempt to do our best at both.
Good communication between us all will make are efforts easier.
I would like to request that everyone who reads new posts, please make a post with your initials stating that you have viewed the new posts even if you don't have anything to add to the prior post. This way we can keep track of everyone and see if they are up to date with all the current changes.

Not as of yet! I'm still trying to get a wall free lap in the 787b at Monoco! :D
It is however on my agenda for things to do, probably tonight. I will also take a lap or two with the NSX for Talentless' series.

Have you seen my posted times so far in round 6?
 
the schedule is only set as deadlines, you can send everything early. if i make a change things can be worked out
 
Yeah, your Monaco times are pretty sharp.
I've tried 6 laps today, to try to change the settings a bit, and i am still a second off.
I will spend some time on that race tomorrow:)

Ran some laps for the spotty last night.

I hate that car! Yet, ANOTHER piss ant little car! Grrrr.
Driving that car is like walking on ice. One little misstep and WHAM, right on your arse or into a wall doin 360's!

Oh well. Lets discuss some settings for this car in the GTD garage!
