I thought it was going to be a drift at first and with it being the Phish, I thought it was going to be a drift. But no . I feel kinda embarrassed after the video. It was like it was focused on me  And that part where the car didn't want to go straight after re entering the track... Pure embarrassment...

gr8racrs .... the video was most certainly focused on you because I find your tenacious spirit and never-give-up attitude to be one of the most prized virtues one can have in this game (or in life for that matter). It really bothers me when I see people just park it or leave the race simply because they've made a mistake or two. To me, it seems that for these people, winning is their only motivation for playing the game and if they can't win, then it isn't worth it. Real racing and life isn't like that :)

Sounds like I'm in the right place then :lol:

While I certainly never gave up, I think the car did that. If I was using a different car, I never would have caught up. It's like a cheat car sadly. :(

You keeping it for tonight? I imagine it'd be even rougher on WS: Streets.

Probably, because I'm pretty sure Derp is gonna dominate in his Rocket. I'll see how good I can do on a course where handling actually matters...

It has nothing to do with the car or whether or not you would have caught up, nor that you won .... it's just about the fact that you didn't give up. Even if you had a slow car and didn't stand a chance of winning, you probably would have driven just as hard

I'm retiring the Ford GT Mark 1 '66 by the way. I love the engine sound and that it came out the year I graduated from High School, but it just didn't handle well under the proposed regs so I'll be bringing some new equipment to the contest tonight :dopey:

Thanks ANFD  And good luck tonight!

Look for a room in about 5 minutes. Private room tonight, no more shenanigans like last week!

Not sure if it's because I just accepted @jay*doc FR, but I can't join the room as it keeps saying the room is full.

Tried restarting and all, no dice.

Just connected to a random room successfully just to verify that I wasn't having any issues normally connecting...

Welcome to all the new comers! Tonight's track of choice was a bit of a challenge, I was not expecting that.

I'd like to apologize for my atrocious driving. I'll be the first to admit, I'm not the fastest, but I could not keep the CTS V on track to save my life. And by race 4 I was just frustrated.

Photos coming soon!

And I'd also like to apologize for leaving like that, I just was confused, and what Severn said didn't sound like much of a joke. But we just clarified what happened, and all is fine now 👍

I'd also like to apologize if I, or anyone else offended or frustrated anyone with the comments about the 🤬 show that was the "track start" starts... I'm always just playing around and I know no one here is ever actually angry or trying to single anyone out. :indiff:

EDIT: wow, 3 apologies in a row... Time to move on and start planning for the rally races next week

Cant wait for this next one. I know duplicates are ok, but I'm holding out until the rest of you make your selections first. I got some great suggestions, but then you guys all know what the good ones are anyway. I'm curious to see what everyone picks. Its pimp city offroad now.

And then the rally car twins in March. I've been pondering all the different pairings available and there are a bunch.
I might even compile a list. I really enjoy Thursday though. I'm usually wound up like a coil spring and this helps with that a lot.

I'm hoping my car of choice is overlooked, kind of a easily missed car for me, maybe the same for everyone else? Or maybe everyone will have the same idea I have, only time will tell!

There will not be an official car list, you must locate a Pick-Up, SUV, or Crossover in the Dealership for the next event, this will keep all models a mystery, mwuahahahaha. Make sure it's not a rally or race car, and prototypes that became production cars ARE allowed.

Happy Hunting, and may the odds be ever in your favor. (Lol)

I know... I was thinking about that and I'm not going to make a list. That would spoil the essence of the whole thing.
I was referring to the rallys, but it's the same deal. I know what my SUV is already.

It seems fairly obvious to me, based on the repeated tone of Severn's comments here, that he has a distinct and active sense of humor. Many of his posts are meant totally in jest and most either make me giggle or at least crack a smile. I gather that he's just one of those guys who kids around a lot and I wouldn't take anything he says too seriously unless it actually was. From what I read here, it doesn't seem as though he would intentionally hurt anyone's feelings or go in that general direction whatsoever. I don't know him personally but I always enjoy humor of any sort .... even though there are times, I may not get it  I just hope this doesn't change his demeanor or interaction with us

I had a fun time. The Subaru and X-Bow were perfect. The X-Bow had only slightly less HP than the Subaru but being over 200kg lighter kind of helps. A lot.
