Guys...WTF just happened?

I made a savegame copy to my USB, then I started GT5 and sold one of my cars (just to test if it came back when I reloaded my savegame from the USB).
Then I quit the game, deleted the new savegame, copy the backup from my USB...and now I get:

The data loaded was invalid.
The content of this save data will be ignored.

WTF?
Help much appreciated!

Look like the problem fixed itself. I erased the savegame again. Turned of the ps3. Turned it back on again. Copied the savegame and took out the usb. Restarted the ps3 again and now it works again....

PHEW

Strange huh?

Since update, I've backed up after every endurance race..has worked completely fine for me. Glad it fixed itself!

Glad to hear that things worked out for you 👍

Good to hear it hadn't disapeared!!!! Always back up twice as the other guy said....just incase one USB stick melts or something....

Is there a max of Gb's when it comes to accepted USB's? Cause I wanted to save a backup twice, but my other USB (16Gb) wont get recognised

Sry 4 bad english

LOL, I did think this was another beg-a-thon thread before I opened it, glad you got it sorted though pal. 👍

lol hope this happens to everyone thats trys the game save glitch

Not all back-ups are done for the purpose of glitching or duping...
I had the corrupt data error about 3 weeks into GT5, took me a few weeks to get back where I was.

Hopefully you'll get to experience the same issue I did!👍

why
hopefully it will happen to you when you get too close to the 4000mb level then what will you do there's nothing wrong with saving your data otherwise they wouldnt let you do it
and if you didnt do it why are you in the market place ?
