if your any interior view with a standard car, You can not see the actual car... when you look back there is no spoiler/trunk, front there is no hood, side the mirrors are not painted... has anyone else noticed this or is it just me, freaking out here.

I mean i dont know if it's a bug or normal.

What did they do with the actual car while in cockpit view, Some one let PD know! :nervous:

You're freaking out over that? Wow.

Dude, the interior views for standard cars are basic. That's it. It shouldn't be a surprise after all the news about it.

It's a simple interior view. Does the job.
to see the other parts of the cars? like the spoiler etc, i get what you mean, i love the view, VERY much, considering how much i Adore standards, but what i dont get is where is the actual car:crazy:

Even worse Standard cars don't have winshield wipers, so when you race in rain you get blinded by the rain forming on the windshield. That's a Huuuuuuge omission.

I'm taking that as sarcasm:odd:

Everyone has known for weeks that the 'cockpit' for standards was just a silhouette:dunce: over the bumper view.

i guess i was fooled by GTPSP because it had the black cockpit(such as this) but you could see the car, I was wondering why in another thread someone said he couldn't see the mercedes emblem or hood on 190E touring car.

You are joking are you not?

Whilst it is a simple black silhouette you can see the other part of your cars.

Yep, in the Bugatti you can see out the rear and the side mirrors, even seems to shake a little. Maybe some aren't fully modelled.

I think all the open top/convertables have a modelled interior but only in low res.

As for not seeing the cars, ok thats cool, but man are standards more fun now...I mean i already loved them at first..but wow, so much more imersion, i still due wonder about the hiding of the car models lol.

but none the less, never has driving a 2001 ITR been so damn fun.

I really wish you could see the hood in all the cars at the very least... I was disappointed to jump into my '02 STI and not see a hoodscoop, or a hood for that matter :(

The Formula GT looks great from "inside" if you set the interior view to zoom, it doesn't look half bad. And the FGT shakes like mad.

Some of the SuperGT cars have had this problem since day 1. It's not a big deal.

There was some part of me that held up hope the Bugatti Veyron might get an interior view at the very least if not upgraded to premium but sadly no.

The FGT looks great though, will have to try out my other open standards...

Yes ok i understand but are they going to add the full model of the actual car like the cockpit view in GTPSP.. when driving my mazda furai...it just looks silly that my hood and the huge wheel arches are not there..

I'd hazard a guess at no, this is all you're going to get. It's what people wanted apparently.

There's not enough graphics resolution for you to do most of your driving in cockpit view. You need to use either 3rd person or 1st person (no cockpit) view most of the time. This way you can pick up the visual detail of the road closer to you, and that really allows you to get in tune with your car's handling.

Cockpit view is entertaining, but it's only a hinderance if you plan to do hard racing.

no i mainly use cockpit view 97% of time, except when drifting i use hood/roof(some cars). but difference between driving a standard car is night and day, what PD got right was the point of view and sense of speed which i absolutely love, but im still wondering what happen to the actual car model

(also, im several seconds faster now with my standards, due to cockpit, it's just that type of view i love and can drive hard in and feel like im apart of the car. ..instead of just placing a camera on the hood or roof.

but yes this has been talked about in other threads, what happened to the car model, like for instance, you look back on a race car, No wing, No trunk, Bugatti has no spoiler, Subaru impreza hood/hood bulge is gone, Mercedes 190E touring car has no hood or emblem and no rear spoiler, Toyota GT1 im pretty sure has no hood.. this is just weird. although i love the view, having the hood...as well as the entire rest of the car vanish is just awkward looking, i really think it's just a bug. I mean of course when you place the camera inside the car, Your going to see the rest of the car your driving. hood, body color mirrors plus trunk, spoiler, wing when you look out the back of the rear window.

And no i'm not complaining, i'm just wondering if it's a bug or not.

Eh, what? The people who wanted a GTPSP like view, like me, wanted a view like in GTPSP. I also disliked the fact that you cannot see the hood etc. in most cars, doesn't really make sense to me, since you can see everything in the open cars. Still way better than before.

cant see trunk or spoiler either, or side color mirrors.. like you could in GTPSP

I'm sorry but this needs to be known, When driving a classic japanese car, there are no mirrors except for the rear view mirror, i hope this is some how fixed, thats why i liked the cockpit view in GTPSP because you could see the actual car(mirrors, spoiler, hood, windsheild wipers, etc). i hope this is fixed.
