l dont know much about hybrids or gamesharks so can someone please explain wat they do exactly? and if l can buy one in australia, will there be any problems with it being a pal version???

anyway, thanks

For PAL you need a device called XPort2, it's a save game utility that hooks to your pc. mk's program basically allows you to edit your garage by swapping parts around between cars( hybrids ). To buy an XPort2 on line go here.

I know this is an old thread but I used the search function and this thread is exactly what I want to ask.

Can you get an XPORT2 or any PAL device that lets you build hybrids and enter codes for licenses, get hidden cars and cars you haven't won yet ?

I would prefer to get one in Australia rather than buy online from Overseas.

If you have an X-Port and MK's program you can get any car coded onto the GT3 DVD, including hidden cars and cars that can only be obtained by winning race series, by using the Change Car function to replace a car in your garage.

I can't help much with unlocking the licenses because the only way I know to unlock the licenses without a Gameshark is to download a save with the licenses unlocked and then transfer that save to your PS2 memory card with the X-port. The problem with going this route though is that it's a package deal and you not only get unlocked licenses but you also get everything else in the save including the garage, so you will lose your current garage. However, perhaps some of the more experienced among us might know an easy way around this. Fwiw, here is a link to some GT3 gamesaves, one of which has the licenses unlocked.

The easiest way to hybrid, and get hidden or hard to get cars is with the xport, and MK's software. To enter codes for liscences and such however U would need an AR2. The best thing would be to get both, but if need be U can build hybrids with the AR2, it's just more time consuming, and esier to make a mistake. From what I have seen in other threads, they can be hard to find in Austrailia, but not impossible. If U do wind up buying one online, make sure u get the PAL version, since xport and AR2 come in both PAL and NTSC.
