The new Genesis now works with Google Glass

Hyundai just announced the newest thing for Google Glass owners: the 2015 Genesis sedan. It's got 333 horsepower, seats five, and thanks to Blue Link cloud connectivity, you'll be able to lock, unlock or start the car from your face computer.

It seems like Hyundai may be the first automaker to bring Glass connectivity to market, promising the app will arrive upon the new car's launch (Mercedes has been tinkering but hasn't nailed down a delivery date yet). In addition to the remote operations mentioned above, Hyundai says the Blue Link Glassware app will send push notifications when service is due, letting owners schedule service appointments in-app.

Price starts below $40k. CHA CHING! Holy crap this thing looks amazing. It's a shame about the giant tractor grill. If it had a front bumper and the upper part of the grill recessed to be more flush with the body, I reckon it'd be just about perfect.

That interior looks fantastic! Can't wait to sit in one.

I'm just looking at the grille when I make that comparison
It's not even at an inverse angle, such as a Dodge Challenger, or the Fusion/Mondeo has, but rather the sloping backwards curve..

Even though the S8 is three cars above its target competition, I'm sure people who have the money would by the hybrid model of this, over the Fusion/Mondeo ...

So i seen, been in the production model in person, and let me tell you, oh my god what a nice car! The interior was just so nice and full of quality materials with exceptional fit and finish, the brushed aluminium looked and felt great to the touch, even on the door locks and handle, along with the matte wood finish, the leather was nearly up there with the new Mercedes S class in terms of feel and overall comfort, and it's jammed full of a ridiculous amount of tech, and when i stepped outside i couldn't help but smile, it's amazingly striking in person, especially in piano black with saddle brown leather... Gorgeous,Gorgeous car.

Hyundai has another winner/game changer on they're hands, if they can knock the driving dynamics out of the park then they're golden.

Every area i touched felt "Right" The soft touch materials lining the center console..were so soft..was just a nice play to be. Only plastic to be seen, by the naked eye was the buttons, and that was it, everything else was either leather or metal.

But it's still weird to me that the V8 is not available with the HTRAC AWD system, only RWD.

You'd be surprised. The Equus is all over the road here. Why? Because most rich people are not billionaires, and they got rich by not dropping 100 grand on cars.

Damn...50 grand for the V8 5.0 with all the bells and whistles.... 20 G less than a top of the line Equuss, Hyundai seriously needs to create a separate luxury brand, now is the time and they have a TON of revenue to do it.

Hyundai Considering Luxury SUV Based on Genesis?

More or less, someone from Hyundai said they're working on more SUVs. They know they need more SUVs. But, the horrific failure of the Borrego and Veracruz has them being more careful than usual - even if the market is clamoring for more options. But, a Genesis CUV? Golly, that just makes too much sense, to me. Adapting what I believe is a nice style set to a larger CUV would make sense, and with a good chassis and an available V8, it could be an awkward spiritual successor to the first-generation Cadillac SRX. You know, the crossoverthingamajig that was actually quite good, despite a crummy overall portfolio at the time.

So, luxury Hyundai Genesis CUV thing - you interested?

A third Genesis, eh? Wonder how Hyundai is going to respond to any Accolades.

(cheers if you get the reference)
