Nice, setup. Now there a usable configuration, bet that cost you a pretty penny or two.

Looks good. How about a shot of the case? How's the water cooling working out for ya? What OS?

Umm, could you tell me what this is about? From what i can see there's 2 monitors. :boggled:
Whatchoo mean sir?

Excuse the dust and the messy power wires for the video card.. My case lid wouldn't fit with the 6 and 8 pin connectors so I hacked them up. I still need to finish that properly and sort it.

Very cool.... 👍

Is this your first liquid cooled system?

I've had a few before. I like'em.

One died on my one time - Had a Pentium D 915 @ 4.2GHz. Fortunately I was around when the little pump alarm went off.

I would really like to go liquid cooling some day, but the idea of maintenance always scared me....leaky joints, connections, hoses, etc....

What has been your experience?

That looks flash, did you build it yourself? I want to build and fix computers when i'm older. :)

Dude, you riced your computer

Really haven't had any issues in my experiences other than that pump going out. I've set up quite a few for friends and customers and honestly, if done with any precation and care, leaking should be the least of your worries (and if it still bothers you, buy non-conductive coolant). The maintinance isn't really there in normal use aside from the periodic level checking. Really the only issue with watercooling is if you've got the majority of your components on water and you do an upgrade or an addition, draining and taking apart the system can be a pain.

I did. Building computers really isn't hard. Software can be a pain depending on how in depth you're getting with your repairs, but let me tell you, google is your best friend.

Exactly. I currently have high end air cooling. I have no need for WC. Yet. My Opty 146 does 3ghz with 1.65vCore and load only goes to 50C with my Big Typhoon under Prime load so hey, works for me.

Nice looking rig there. Belong to any PC-related forums? BPC, OCN, XS, etc?

I'm looking to go WC with my next build. Probably do a loop for CPU, NB, MOSFETS and then one for GPU(s). :D

eVGA recently came out with a motherboard (or at least I believe it to be released) that has waterblocks on everything you've mentioned, though it does come at a premium priced somewhere around $500.

The main reason I switched to watercooling was I ran the E6600 at 4.1GHz for a while and cooling something running 2+ volts with air was pointless. I believe I damaged the L2 cache at some point because past 3.4GHz I get a large quantity of weird artifacts. Tried different memory, different motherboards and different video cards. The Big Typhoon is a nice cooler, used it a few times for friends and clients.

I'm a member of speedguide.net and overclock.net, though I'm newer at OCN and do a bit more reading than posting.

If you find OCN to be a guiding tool for info, head over to blazingpc.com Sounds kinda corny, but have you ever wondered why OCN seems to be full of n00bs spouting off about things they have never owned? There was a dispute when BPC was started and a bunch of the starters of BPC were banned from OCN. Pretty much all of the higher up people have left and/or been banned and came to BPC. Plenty of experience with ln2, dice, and phase.

2vCore? Are you crazy? That is 3 stage cascade territory. I'm astonished it still even works. Remember to check load temps with Prime 95 and Intel TAT or CoreTemp. Even Speedfan.

I also have my mother on some HP comp. Celeron D 2.93ghz with 512MB of RAM. Works for what she does. Basic internet browsing. My sis can't hog the internet with her Barbie game because it won't run. It simply says your computer is too slow. :D

What about the twin display? How does that work?

Oh it works great. In the past I've run 2x19" 4:3, 2x 20.1" widescreen, then I added a single 24" for 20.1"-24"-20.1", then I ditched the two 20"s and went with another 24". I'd like to get a third for the center because I would've have the monitor frames meeting right there.

I'm a little bit crazy but hey, it still works and it was fun running 4.1 while it worked.

I'll tell you what was fun: Back in the day I had an Athlon 1600+. I overclocked that bad boy on air to past 3200+ speeds. I would lose a few benchmarks due to L2 cache size reasons but nevertheless, double the speed. That processor is still running somewhere around here on stock speeds though I don't know where. That was fun.

As an update, I've changed cases (to an older Antec I had.. It was the only case I had that would fit 5 HDs), changed waterblocks since my last one cracked and leaked all over my $450 video card (interesting story: computer stopped working, couldn't figure it out, took the video card out as I was getting video-related post codes and water started dripping off of it.. :odd:. Long story short, dried it off and put it back in and it worked). This waterblock has no plastic so I'm fond of it, and it also has amazing reviews. I've also switched to watercooling on the video card and went from the 1x120mm radiator to a 2x120mm radiator that I had in the basement. Changed lines and coolant, added some UV fun stuff..

Yeah, OCN isn't bad. Be careful what you believe though. Talent pool at BPC is much better IMO.
I don't really learn all that much from there, mostly things like product reviews is what I'm more interested in. Historically I've learned way more by doing than reading but I like to help others so it all works out. My brother and I have been running an IT business and graphics studio for about 3 years now (www.pickfusion.com) and before that I played with plenty of computers.
So what are the new specs?
Basically the same as before, just lower temps on the video card and a much quiet PC. For reference though:
Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 3.4GHz (Looking to upgrade this and the motherboard in the next few months with a new 45nm quad)
6GB DDR2
Asus P5B-Deluxe
2x72GB Raptors in RAID0, 1x 250GB 7200rpm, 1x120GB 7200rpm, 1x80GB 7200rpm
2900XT @ 850/1000 (740/820 stock.. Looking to get a 2900 Pro 512bit and flash it to XT then crossfire it soon)
