I was playing indy 500 and i completed 100 laps so i thought i clicked save so i can play the other 200 laps later but i click exit. Now I have to do it all over! lol

But as CMICK said, race saves will be coming in the Spec 2.0 update so you can't save till then unfortunately.

I belive the 'Championships', for example the Formula Gran Turismo (FGT) Championship, allows you to save after each race.

These are not endurance races however.
Endurance will be in the Spec II update as many has pointed out already.
