Yes. I am an idiot. Want to know why i am?

Heres the story. Last week, my girlfriend got the wild idea that i could spend the night at her house without her dad knowing. We tried. It worked. Four times in fact.. I stayed there last sunday, monday, wednesday, and thursday. Well, we decided to try for me to stay last night. There were complications such as her dad didnt go to bed until 12:30 at night. That was a bit late for me to leave the house, but i did anyway. See, i don't drive, so i have to ride my bike. My mom easily believes me when i say im going to stay at marcus' house, which is a few blocks away from mine.

Anyway, around 12:30 she calls me and says her dad just went to bed, but she doesnt want me coming that late. I tell her that if she still wants me to come, i'm willing to. Her house isnt a short ride. I'm almost to her house, and i pass a cop. Shortly after, he pulls off from being parked on the curb and starts coming towards me. Luckily, he gives me no trouble and is gone wthout even passing me.

Everything went fine at her house, and we had fun (No, not that kind of fun. Sheesh.) - Then we go to sleep, her on her bed, me under it. Usually, her dad doesnt come in in the mornings, so i decided to somewhat "peek" out from the bed to get some fresh air (its hot under tere) - I end up falling asleep out there. Her dad walks in. Only thing he says is, "What are you doing here? *short pause* Get out."

So, in your opinion, whats going to happen?

*For those who dont like to read, girlfriends dad found out i was sleeping in her room. Am i dead or what?

Now knowing what kind of guy her dad is, I can't answer for sure. If something like this happened with my girlfriend, her dad would probably be cool as long as he knew no sex, alcohol, drugs were involved.

Well, her dad is a really insecure + overprotective type. He's nice, and likes me (or used to), and we talk alot. He thinks im a cool guy and likes my personality, and hell, i even asked him if i could go out with her... I don't really know whats going to happen. My girlfriend and her dad get into gnarly fights.. Just a few days ago she tried to strangle him, he beat her up, and she kicked him in the ribs and bruised them pretty badly. I'm afraid of what the arguement will turn into... :scared:

If you explain what happened and don't lie, you'll be fine. Just be like: "We really like each other and since we live pretty close *cough* we just wanted to see each other. I came over here and we were talking and then I ended up falling asleep. I promise it'll never happen."

Then cry.

You might want to try coming clean to him yourself, maybe it would save your girlfriend some of the flak. If her father knows that his daughter is going out with somebody responsible enough to own up to their own actions, he might take it a little bit easier on her.

sn00p, he didnt necessarily beat her up, but he hit her a few times before she kicked him in the ribs.. For god sake, she was trying to strangle the man!

As far as coming clean, thats a good idea. Maybe i should call him up right quick and see if everything is okay.. Ack. Scared..

you know that pretty much happened to a friend except the father flipped his $h!t when he found out and that was the first he did that too but anyway go and kick his ass and film it and post it over the internet haha that would be so funny:lol:  :D

Hmm. I'm scared to call over there...

Here is what i'd probably say to him: "Steve, i'm really sorry about staying there last night. Shirley is leaving on friday morning, and the only thing i wanted to do was spend some quality time with her before she left, especially since our 1 month is coming up on saturday and i wont be able to spend it with her since she wont be here. It was my idea to come spend the night last night, and i'm sorry that i broke your trust. If you believe me, which you probably wont, we didn't do anything last night, all we did was talk, i swear it. I wouldnt ever even think of doing anything that disrespects you in any way.. I just wanted to tell you this to hope you wouldnt come down too hard on her about it, but i know im probably just making things worse. Sorry."

What do you think?

hmm, that same thing happend at my GF house when we were 16, only i had been sleeping on a pile of beer cans. it did not go as smooth as yours. her mom threatened to call the authorities/police/my parents/ghostbusters. and shoed me out the door (with a broom?) waving something. if something suitable to be swung around it would have to be a broom. so she swang this broom and threw it at the poor vw gti i was trying my darnest to get into.

i came back the next day like nothing happend, thinking they all got over it and she swang (a shovel this time?) somemore. mayber a fly swatter. its easy to get those things mixed up.

anyways were 21 now and nobody gives a damm cause these things happen while were young.:D

Avoiding the topic of sex would be your best bet. Don't even mention it unless he brings it up. The more you make him think of it, the more pissed off he's going to get, and denying it probably won't get you very far.

Perfect. And don't try and hold anything back. Nervousness, anything. Let him know that you absolutely aren't lying.

NOOOOO!!!!! Don't do it. Just apologize and say you know you were wrong. PERIOD. Trust me.

Hmm.. Its almost 8 am. This happened at like 6:40 am. I think he might have left for work. Either way, i'm too scared to call and find out what happened... I guess i should call anyway.. If steve picks up, i'll most likely just hang up..

Okay, called, noone answered. I think he ended up kicking her out.. I'm not sure. I'm such an idiot.. Argh..

you could lie if u think he wont like the truth or wont belive it say u had a fight with ur parents and u just left and didnt know were to go

I had originally thought of that, but i dont think it would have went over too well.. He probably would have tried talking to my mom, or something. Heh..

Acid X, Chalk this one up as a lesson learned.

I swear if kids these days could manage to think two or three steps ahead and cover thier tracks, they'd get caught in less stupid situations.

If the father even lets you see his girl again, I'd be surprised. But Honestly, leave the reactions and explanations between this girl and her father. I'd suggest a gift certificate to his favorite restaurant with the explanation of "This is a small note of thanks for alowing me to see your daughter again."

Remember, you've nothing to explain to him, it is between his daughter and him. When/if you get the chance to return, make sure you thank him. At that point, his daughter will have apologized for the both of you. If she hasn't she's not worth anything more than a friendship, because if she'd hang you out to dry with her dad she's likely to do it again for even less.

Good luck, smarten up and think a few steps ahead.

You know, when I think of how this happened to you, fresh air, I'm inclined to think you are an idiot. There's lots of fresh air outside, too. And no dads.

Gah. What i meant by "fresh air" is air other than extremely hot air that accumulated under her bed while i was under there. I simply stck my head out to where the fan was and got some cool air. Anyway, i just called there again and noone answered, so i left a message for Steve basically saying i was sorry and i was wrong to stay the night and i hope he'd atleast forgive her.. I also stated that i hope nothing bad happened after i left...

Arg, nobody is answering.. I'm so worried. I swear, if i was any more stupid..

Look, it happens to everyone. They caught in the moment of a natural adrenaline high. Doing things they know they shouldn't but paying no attention to their conscience and BAM! You realized you've screwed up big time.
