After a 3 year hiatus, I am finally back. Here is what has gone down.

End of 2002- I get kicked off of GTP by mom :yuck:. Then I go on to play FF VIII for a couple of months. Then I started playing X-Box frequently at Wal-Mart. Then I converted to the X-Box, and had a few good months out of it.

2003- At the beginning of the year, it is all X-Box. Then one night in March, I got bored and pulled out a train video to watch. Little did I know that was the beginning of a new hobby for me. Model railroading. In May we had some rough storms where I stayed up until 1AM and still made it to school on time. This occurred the whole week. In June I had foot surgery for me walking on toes. So that summer was shot for me. Then in August I sold the X-Box for $200 to a friend of mine, which I spent the money on to expand the railroad. Near the end of 2003 I became depressed and made a suicide threat. For some odd reason it got me noticed.

2004- Not as much for me happened last year, however school got very exciting. We moved to a brand new facility. The old middle school had been there since the '50s. However, I would only stay 5 months. The other exciting and wild things were that we had a race war over t-shirts and a fake april fools fight in the cafeteria, most of the whole grade participated. Nothing happened over the summer. In the end of the year I tried to create a powerpoint newscast called "Another Viewpoint".

2005- They switched my lunch period to take one of my close friends out of the equation. For a few days I felt depressed. Over time however I had more fun. However I hated my 4th period class Phy. Sci. Honors because of all those preps. Arrrgh! Then I had to perform some community service because I stupidly picked out Criminal Justice for a class. However it may not have been stupid since I made all A's in there. At the end of February, I went to a train show, when I got home I called my friend and said he got GT4. That compelled me to beg for GT4 and by late March I got GT3, and GT4 as well as a PS2. Finally I joined GTP as my other identity (Nscale4) since I forgot my password and email. A few days ago I asked mom what the password was and I got back in.

So what has changed since I left here? We had the thread 'How Many Replies Can We Get?', there were marquee signatures and news signatures even formed. There were also the thousands of smileys that were whittled down to 36 :grumpy:. Those were the good ol' days. That is what has happened to me since I have been gone.

I feel it is now our civic duty to revive News Signatures.

Oh, by the way I'm PublicSecrecy. I replaced Jared/StinkyChicken.

Actually I don't think he was here for the Jared/Stinky Chicken era. Maybe he remembers Darin, he got banned, then got replaced by stinky chicken and then got replaced by Public secrecy, which then was replaced by public secrecy's alter ego, PS. :)

He was probably here for the Tercel_Driver, cobraboy, and Sandstorm era.

Talking about smileys, they should add this one to the forum:

Welcome back, kyle. The N-scale setup sounds cool - post a few pics in the Hobbies board if you haven't already.

A lot has gone on. Rumple disappeared last year, hopefully to make a better life for himself, after separating from his parents. Der Alta's life got too big for one person to handle and he retired earlier this year after getting promoted to Admin. Vat_man retired a couple years ago when his life got busy too.

A bunch of the long-term pains in the butt have gotten banned over the last few years, or have left because we weren't fun any more, or something.

We've about doubled in size, if not tripled, with the advent of GT4 and the incredible hype and speculation leading up to the actual release date. We went through some growing pains and hardware issues with a few of our hosting companies, which Jordan solved at great effort and expense.

Drifting has gained some legitimacy, mostly through the efforts of drifters themselves. We had a fake April Fools fight in the Rumble Strip, which led to a minor shakeup and some community service.

Other than that it's the same place, but different. Poke around and see all that's gone on!

Welcome back Kyle. I haven't quite been here that long. But, I have read a few of your posts. 👍 Just make sure you don't hear "Door is to your left" anytime soon. :scared:

Hey, I remember reading some of your posts in old threads. You probably don't know me, but... uh... Welcome back.
