Well my friends,
I had a lot of fun on the board when GT3 came out.
It was a GREAT way to waste time at work.

UInfortunately, my copy of GT3 got damaged, and I dont feel like replacing it. I will get myself a copy of GT4 or whatever, but it looks like my turismoing is over

c'est la vie

That's a shame, Brian - I think the board's moved on since then, but good luck with it all!

Man i read some where that gt3 will be a Greatest hits title. That it will sell for ½ the price... Hold up let me find where it said that.

Courtesy of IGN:

"February 27, 2002 - Sony announced today that it will offer the Greatest Hits line to the PlayStation 2. Greatest Hits was a line of discounted PlayStation games after they had sold more than a million copies. The games were repackaged with the green Greatest Hits sidebar and sold for about half the price.
The PlayStation 2 Greatest Hits games will have a new price tag of $24.99 and will include their own as well as third-party titles. The first four, all first-party Sony titles, include ATV Offroad fury, Twisted Metal: Black, Dark Cloud, and the mighty Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec .

To be eligible for the PS2 Greatest Hits line the game must have sold a minimum of 400,000 copies and have been on the market for at least nine months.

Sony also announced it will releas more titles in the Greatest Hits line in May at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3)."

Brian, I am really sorry to hear that your copy of GT3 has been damaged...:nervous: I'm also sad to hear that you'll be leaving us here at GTPlanet... Make sure to stop back by and say hello everyone in a while...:) Hope to see you around when GT4(or whatever:D) comes out...;)

Hey that DVD Rom damage thing sounds alarming to me. My game stubbornly didn't start for a few times (like 4 times) despite resetting over and over. But finally my horror ended and it did start. What could cause damage to a DVD which is treated properly ??

Funny how they contradict themselves, eh?
