I've already asked Jordan about this. He doesn't want it, because some people might purposely cause confusion in a thread by deleting their post. My suggestion: Click Edit, delete whatever you wrote, then put [Edit]: Unecessary Post or sometin' like that.

I was wondering myself why it gives the option to everyone to delete their own posts, but then it obviously won't go through, being that it's an administrative action here at GTP...

Yes, that would make more sense, but it shows up for everyone.

Yep, that was for the award nominations. But, nobody followed the rules anyway, so it was really just a waste of time.
