the drift will be barely noticeable, probably unoticeable, as it will only be a few fractions of a degree, depending on the corner. The idea being that the car will have some rotation already acting on it as you enter the corner. Then all 4 wheels may be used to push (or pull at the front as the case may be) the car around the corner, ideally without having to generate any further rotation by turning the front wheels one way or the other. By this manner you can utilize the more of the cars grip to accelerate around the turn, instead of to resist sliding laterally as is done in grip.
So in theory it should be slightly quicker, however in practice, one realizes that its hard to pull off.
