I cant pass this up!

Wait a minute-Doug, silver is a rental color?! What the hell's wrong with you! Silver Metallic is the best color becides the Innocent Blue(my fav. Mazda color). Though the dark silver is awsome too.

Silver makes the car look boring, and it's definitely not boring. I will bet you a million, gillion dollars that more 6i's will be purchased in silver than any other car, lending validity to my theory that it's a rental car colour.

19,500 is the price hes selling it to me for, nothing more. (BTW Clearing this up im getting it from a long time Friend who owns like 3 other cars and he just cant afford this one now that he got him self a surburan) Plus the fact that i have 3g's just wating for me to be used on a car. As for the bank loan its hella low at 4.3%, You just cant beat that. It would be the same rate on a new car as well. Umm lests see what else..... O yeah my "New Car Feaver" is very high so.... man dont think i can wait much longer. :) Its such a nice car man. I can already see my self pimping girls downtown. Oh yeah the car is in excellent condition with no flaws in the paint and nothing wrong with it at all. No wrecks and pretty much just that one owner. As for the extended warranty im getting one from my bank since they offer that as well. Wont cost too much bout 1,000 or so for another 50,000 miles. Umm thats about all unless theres something else im missing. Ill post if there is. :)

Oh yeah another thought came to mind. Im not one of those people who like to buy cars like once or twice every 2 years so im looking for a car that will last me a long time. In the long run i just dont see a domestic lasting for a long while. While as for an import (like my current 90 maxima got that baby at 25,000 miles on it and now im up to 130,000 miles) that has lasted me forever man. That the kind of car im looking for.

the SRT 4 is a Neon right? :odd: I'd definitely rather have a 3.2TL than a Neon even if it was the fastest Neon on the planet. Question..is the TL a Type-S model? I love the TL Type-S, it's sweet. (Still...I'd say screw both of them and get a WRX but that's just me hehe)

lol only if i had more money i would get a WRX. Matter of fact i might as well get a EVO or a 350Z. But i dont so i wont. But yeah its just the 3.2 TL not the Type-S.

Oh did I mention the women factor?
Especially down here. I would get so much (ear muffs) then i would know what to do with.

Dude, you wouldn't get any (ear muffs, god I love Old School) in
BSACTL-023.JPG
<--- that! It looks like a damn Honda Accord, or something. I'm not saying the SRT-4 has a huge poon factor, or anything, but I'd be willing to bet it's p-factor is higher than a 3.2TL's - unless you're picking up 50+ year old women.:scared:

Dude man im gonna get the classy looking chicks with this car. Also have a friend who can help me with mods when i do get it. (if i get it) Just look at it.... sweet looking man. :) Dont get me wrong i love the SRT-4 as well but looks wise i would take this over that. Dude man 50+ year old women have money. If i date enough ill have money to get the SRT-4

you do realize that a WRX starts at like $23,000? which isn't that much more than what you're talking about. The WRX STI is the one that's over $30,000, same with the 350z and the EVO. Actually last time I was at the dealer they had a bunch of 2003 WRX's leftover that they were selling for like $21,000.

I swear.

haha smartass...but seriously...the SRT4 starts at $20,000 and with the low back seats your up to like $20,500, which isn't that far off the $21,000 you could get a leftover 03 WRX for..and $23,000 isn't a huge step up from that either when you're already up to $20,000, but do what you like.

Okay heres the deal. If for some reason i cant get a loan from the bank tomorrow or tuesday, then ill go with the SRT-4 towards the end of the year. Hows that?

When you're strapped for paying $20,500, $23,000 is out of your league.

This doesn't make sense anymore Nocturnal. The reason being if you are getting a loan from the bank and you wanted the SRT 4 in the first place you are still spending the same amount of money. 4.3% is good, A good line of credit will also be made from it. Basically at this point you feel one of three things. A. You are a little turned off with going to a dealership and getting hounded, so this oppurtunity came up and you take the TL CL whatever that overpriced Honda is. B. You were sold in the first place over the TL and decided to see if we could either talk you into it more or talk you into the SRT 4. C. Along with the "New Car Fever" you are also experiencing "New Car Fear". Meaning you are unsure of your decision at this point and the TL seems to be a better choice for you. With 42,000 miles on that car, you are already cutting in half the time you need to replace the timing belt on the car. That is an expensive thing to do, especially since dealers make sure warranties are up before that. Make sure to have around $500 to $750 lying around for that service. The Acura is also an expensive car to do any work to because of the fact it is an import. You'll probably have to deal with parts that are back ordered. The SRT-4 would be a better choice in this situation for the reaason, it is domestic so parts are cheaper, it is coming dealer direct, no hassle with transfer of anything including the fees, and the new car smell without the worry of some other Chaach spunking the interior. I don't really agree with what you are saying about that TL and it just doesn't seem logical. You buddy is probably pressuring you too about the car. At the beginning of this post you were excited about the SRT-4, but now you sound as if you were never interested.

Hey, just making sure you get whqat you want here. A car is not an easy pick and I know you know that. Just wanting to make sure you are going to have that sh%$ eating grin with your new car :D

I only read like 19 posts in this thread, but I have something other to say if it hasnt been said yet.

Dude, you have 20k on hand to put on a car? Dont get whats offered to you just because you can. I bought my RX-7 for 8k. 8k. Thats cheap. Thats not even a deal, thats blue book. You could buy yourself an RX-7 as well, or even a Supra, or whatever. You can buy a nice, used performance car for cheap these days. So why not do it?
Not only would you be able to pay in full for the car, but you also have alot of money left over for perfomance mods, your style, etc. Dude, its a no brainer.

I don't think he has 20k cash. I'm pretty sure he'll be getting a loan.

Hey y'all. Just joined a couple hours ago and I figured that I'd throw in my 2 cents. I'd say wait for the SRT-4 but I'm biased because I own one. Actually, I'd wait for a few days before making a decision one way or the other. Any car that isn't the car you already own feels "new" and is tempting to jump into without thinking of the things you'll run into down the line. Like someone said before(can't remember who), the Acura will be more expensive to maintain and you will have to start spending the money sooner than with the SRT. That's just one thing to think about. The Acura has a lot of great things going for it, but its an apples/oranges comparison with an SRT. Just think long and hard before you get either and make sure that its a car you want to be driving for the next 3-5 years coz its a pain to sell a car that you're still paying on. On a side note, someone mentioned insurance on the SRT. I don't think it will go up much from what it already is if at all. It costs me as much to insure my SRT-4 as the 2000 Mustang GT I used to have. The lady at my insurance company said Neons in general already have an expensive rating. Sorry this is so long, I swear I won't make a habit of it. heh heh
