I can only left foot brake with the controller. But I have never ever used my left foot to brake in a real car. Does everyone left foot brake with a controller? I know left foot braking is a real racing technique. I just think its odd.

Little confused by what ya wrote but I use my left foot with a wheel and left hand with a controller.
Nice to have quicker response time and you can steady the car a bit with lefty. The carts and some MR really seem a bit steadier of you use a bit of throttle under braking.

when i first started driving for real i used my left foot for braking but my mom made me stop. still can but it is a little aukward simply because i've been using my right for 2 years (i'm 20). i plan to build a sim frame this summer using a g27 and i can see using my left for karts (that's how some real race karts are configured) but i'll be driving manual as much as i can, so my left will be occupied by the clutch.

I use my left foot for braking with my G27 because it is better control for going into the corners.
But I don't think you can use your right foot for braking with a controller.

Use your left foot, it may feel awkward for a while but eventually you will build the muscle memory for it and it will become natural. I can easily left foot brake in real cars because I do it in GT. The extra half second it takes to move you're right foot over, multiplied by how many time you brake per lap, will make you substantially slower. It won't take long for your body to figure it out but it won't happen right away, might take a few days or weeks (depending on how much you play). When you sleep your brain builds new connections based on what it learned that day (neuroplasticity) so each day it will be a little easier, but you won't notice until you sit down the next day to play. Stick with it, eventually it will become second nature. 👍

No, never. I don't feel like it being necessary. And because I use DS3 with a different setup, it's impossible.

Use LFB in sim rig when using paddle shifters or sequential shifter, but RFB when using gated shifter and clutch, but in my own real cars, I always RFB.

I tried LFB and it feels bizarre in a real car, but I am sure I could do it in a real car with paddle shifters easily. The problem with LFB in a real car is that you'd tend to rest your foot on the brake and constantly wear down your brake pads and rotors. On a race track I guess that wouldn't be as much of an issue.

I do sometimes see morons cruising down the highway at 65MPH with their brake lights on though, and I know they are left foot braking, and they are usually 85+ years old. As I go by I always check their front wheels and sure enough, they are always black with caked on brake dust..

If it's an automatic I simply can't right foot brake. I got points taken off my driving test for that...lol

Manual I will right foot brake if needed, if there's no shifting I will left foot brake. Especially on a track.

With my G25 I've always driven like I do a real car.
Right foot for Accelerator/brake...left foot for clutch.

Also PC sims like rFactor I turn auto clutch and auto blip on downshift off so I have to match revs/heal n toe.

I do both in sim. When I use clutch I right foot brake when I need to do down change but I still left foot brake when I do not. When I use just sequential I left foot brake only. In real life I also do both in my DSG equipped car....daily driving I just right foot brake. On autoX or track day I left foot brake only.

I left foot brake in game most of the time. I only use my right foot when I want to play around with the stick and the clutch. IRL I generally left foot brake when driving a car with an auto trans and right foot when driving a manual where I need the left foot for the clutch, been doing it this way since I was a teen and feels totally natural to me.

2 pedals, 2 feet hmm ;)

Whatever works/most fun is what we should all use!

I left foot brake 95% of the time, right foot brake when using the clutch, but even then I'll still use the left foot for some corners.
