In light of the Mazda Association Zone and new Nissan Performance Zone, I demand the following 'Zones' under the 'if I make one I have to make them all' clause of humanity:

1. "Acura RL Speed Zone". Obviously to discuss the fastest front-wheel drive 3.5L Acura on the market.
2. "3.1-liter Car Zone". How many Century fans really are there?
3. "Chevrolet Astro Zone". Meant for discussing the question on everyone's mind: has there been a Chevrolet Astro produced in the last three years? Can also be called the GMC Safari zone.
4. "Chevrolet Monte Carlo LS Zone". Let's be honest with each other, the Monte Carlo kicks all of our asses. Particularly the LS model, with a standard cassette radio. Yaay!
5. "Dodge Durango 3.7 Zone". The Dodge Durango 3.7 is the slowest SUV ever sold here. Let's celebrate it with a Zone.
6. "GMC Envoy XUV Zone". Discussion question: Will anyone ever buy one? (and if so, who? And why?)
7. "Isuzu Axiom Zone". $28500 and ABS isn't even optional. Totally zone-worthy.
8. "Jaguar X-Type Zone". Celebrate the worst British car ever with a Zone.
9. "41bhp per liter Zone". The Chevrolet S-10 wins at least one category.
10. "2004 Oldsmobile Zone". A zone because crap never looked so damn good.

And of course...

11. "The General Motors 3800 Zone". Though it's not as widely used as it once was (:(), you can still find it in your favourite Zone-worthy models:
- Buick LeSabre
- Buick Park Avenue
- Buick Park Avenue (supercharged)
- Buick Regal
- Buick Regal (supercharged)
- Chevrolet Impala
- Chevrolet Impala (supercharged)
- Chevrolet Monte Carlo
- Chevrolet Monte Carlo (supercharged)
- Pontiac Bonneville
- Pontiac Grand Prix
- Pontiac Grand Prix (supercharged)

I'm certain you'll give those Zones their worthy consideration.

I say aye to that.

Dont forget all those countless Holden's that have used the same engine!

Does the Vauxhall Omega? It seems like the perfect candidate; particularly since its US twin, the Cadillac Catera, used the 3.8 and loved it.

Much like a Large mall, GTPlanet.net is private property that you've been invited to.
Thank you, now go home.
We'll take it under consideration.
Yep, sure. No problem.

:D

My point still stands - why Nissan and Mazda and not others?

That's honestly up to Jordan.
I see your more astute that the usual poster
My guess would be that there are people that have shown sufficient dedication and desire to use and maintain a forum. Now that we've dumped Nitto

AO , there should be more free space

SkylineGTR_guy approached me with the idea of allowing one of the most popular "clubs" here to expand with a forum of it's own, just like MazKid's club has done. It has a lot of activity and is actively managed, and I can only see good things happening by giving it it's own forum. If there are other clubs as actively participated in and managed as those two with their own forums, they too will eventually get their own forum.

I agree with the logic, but my thought is that there should be some objective basis - a certain number of members, just for example - by which clubs can achieve forums.

Or, just Doug. A private board for one member.

Doug, don't forget to include GM schoolbuses as yet another vehicle hauled around by the 3.8l workhorse.

The idea of objective criteria is one I normally support, but I think a certain amount of fuzzy logic and judgement is called for. There are certainly groups that contain a large number of members but do not necessarily rate their own board/forum.

I was going to go back through time, but I think the engine is about twenty or more years old, so I canned it. Interestingly, there are three other 3.8L engines on the market - Chrysler's, Mitsubishi's, and Ford's.

Like the Rumple Club? Good call. 👍

Never did we ask for any special treatment. But I too am glad to see the end of the club. I should have asked for it to be closed a long time ago.

I would say this is the proper response in terms of application to the board.

However, the initial list provided was so off from what I was thinking... I didn't see anything for people like me who have loyalty in the japanese market to toyota. Toyota is a great company with thier TRD division. 👍

I would imagine honda, nissan, mazda, toyota and maybe something like a general american car club... hey, that's not a bad idea. :D

Of course, I do like seeing such enthusiasm in you post for the American cars. :)

Anyway, those are just my thoughts... later.

it sounds retarded

then some1 could be named nickid, and post gobs of who gives a **** about nissan info

As I said it's not your club so who give a rats ass what you think. I'm the one who requested the sub-board so I can name it whatever I please.

If 12-15yr olds want to learn more about cars whats wrong with that? Its people like you who refuse to teach them anything that are responsible for all the stupidity in this world.

Whatever you say buddy, if thinking that you are cooler than a stranger on the internet makes you feel all tough and secure with yourself then knock yourself out. ;)

You either mean offended, or defensive.

I have nothing to hide at all, what does quoting what you say have to do with hiding things?

I'm not saying the world is stupider becasue they don't know about skylines, I mean teaching in general.

Anyway I'd rather have people who are knowledgable about a car then a bunch of stupid ricers running arround saying " OmG Teh SkYlInE Is Teh KOolEsT" and making a fool of themselves and the car.

You just need to quit complaining about things you have no say in. It's pointless. WAAAHHH why is it called a zone. Why is the sky blue? It should be Green!

^yea what he said
sorry i was eating ice cream and watching tv while i posted

I do that all the time

Come on 1mic, grow up. You're making an argument here that doesn't make much sense.
