FGT = Hate it.
F10 and F2007 = Love them.
I'm not that fast with them though, I'm certainly more of a touring car/gt racer.
Are you sure you're talking about the same rFactor? I've never heard anyone describe rFactor as "arcade" or compare it to TDU.I definately disagree with you on the RFactor and other games part.
Those are all arcade games and have relatively poor physics, I used to mod RFactor and GTR2 / TDU for PC and such and they arent as refined, the FGT handles a bit ****ed up to be honest and I dont like it either, but thats just the one car. The Ferrari's are beautiful.
I just hate them cause my FFB in my wheel kicks my ass when driving them or the X2010. Even set to only 1!
I find normal race cars more rewarding, just easier to tweak and you can mod them.
I feel the same way. The FGT, F2007 and F10 dont satisfy me at all. I don't have paitence for single seater cars, never have and never will. I don't want to wrestle a car that I'm only driving because the game tells me to. I'll use every aid there is without shame, just so the event gets done quicker. I'll take a Prius over an F10 very happily.
Yeah the FFB really fights with you in the F1 cars. I kind of enjoy driving them for that reason just because when I'm done my forearms hurt from the death grip I had on the wheel.
However, I lack the skill to be able to effectively drive the FGT in the championship. When I have a free weekend, I'll put in some time to practicing how to drive the FGT.
Pretty much exactly the same.
I did enjoy the F2007 so much that I bought codemasters game though.
The FGT is simply not the car for me at all.
Are you sure you're talking about the same rFactor? I've never heard anyone describe rFactor as "arcade" or compare it to TDU.
Rfactor and TDU in the same subject? You realise that Rfactor is the basis for the simulation that the formula 1 teams use? Ferrari Virtual Academy is the simulation (strictly F1 sim) used to recruit top drivers for ferrari's F1 academy (much like GT academy) and iRacing is the very expensive monthly service racing simulation service, widely known to be the most accurate commercial simulation available?
I think we're on a different page here.
there is only one rFactor
it is an older game with physics that arent very good although they arent that bad. it is definately more arcady but nothing like NFS
i didnt compare it to tdu either i said i modded cars on rfactor, gtr2, tdu and a bunch of other games
tdu is an extremely good driving simulator if you have a pc with a wheel that you can self calibrate with your own linearity and such, always liked driving my 4 speed 2000gtr rb26dett skyline pushing 600 whp on that game![]()
and none of these are even close or can relate in any way to real life driving
f1 cars are very hard to drive
and again, i wasnt comparing them to each other, if you would learn to read and notice that i just mentioned i modded all three games then you would realize that
and just so you know what you say about rfactor is completely false lmfao
Hahahaha
TDU is an extremely good driving simulator? what are you smoking?
Rfactors core engine is the same one the F1 teams use as a simulator, the physics engine is fantastic, overall it is better than GT5. Richard Burns Rally is even older than Rfactor, and you know what? that has fantastic physics, the most accurate for offroad racing available in any game.
You really do not have a clue what you're talking about... TDU haha.
i found rfactor very easy and not forgiving enough so i ended up deleting it as well as having 20+ mods downloaded and engine sounds and other stupid stuff taking up space
anyways, video game driving will never be like real life driving, they dont test f1 drivers on video games especially old out of date ones like rfactor that are just modded for fun now. bahaha you have to have a massive racing record to even get close to f1.
I just don't like driving them. It was the same in GT3/4. I know I suck at driving them, and don't give them a chance by practicing, but it's too stressful and not fun for me to try. I much prefer driving slower cars.
Anybody else feel this way?
