I like the open wheelers, well I like all the cars to be honest except most of the fwd cars. I completed x1 challenge (with some assists and auto) and fgt championship (with assists) plus all the bonus ferarri races (tc 1 only). The ferarri is very rewarding when driven correctly this is difficult however in the F10, the hardest bonus race for me was suzuka took me a few attempts, 2nd hardest was that new made up track simply because I didn't know where I was going but I still won 1st try after many spins. I am using the controller these days and haul out the dfgt on special occasions.

Not a fan of the open wheel cars in GT5 either though love F1 in real life. Always felt the open wheelers just don't fit with the game. Same with the X1.

F2007 is perfect
F10 is tricky on bumpy tracks but faster on tight ones than the F2007

FGT has something seriously wrong with it. Understeer one lap, Oversteer the next.

Spot on about the FGT. I don't pretend to be the most consistent driver of GT5 but I'm fair. Anyway, when I negotiate a chicane or a curve on a lap and then do it the same way the next lap, then I spin out and find myself in the kitty litter I have to ask, what the heck happened there? Did I hit an invisible rock or patch of sand?! The thing is schizo...

For those who haven't, try setting your brake bias to 5 front 6 rear on the Formula GT. After doing that I gained much more control while braking. Which I was having trouble with; even in a straight line. This is the only car I've ever fiddled with that setting.

I love the Formula cars. I have the FGT, F2007, & 2-Red Bull Livery X2010s. I typically do better in the insane downforce cars. Its fun being that much closer to the edge. I think the FGT is a fun car, especially with only ABS. I might run about 2-3s faster in the F2007 vs FGT. I normally setup FormulaGTChampionship, FerrariF1Championship and RedBullX1Championship rooms so come on by if you like the formula cars.
