Compare it to games like BH1942
Why does the CPL(Cyberathelete Professional League) host little BF1942 competitions? they only have CS competitions, but rarely do they host 1942
does that mean CS is better? maybe, maybe not
but there's a certain something in CS that attracts so many people
Hey, maybe it's the fact that it doesn't require a top of the line comp to play
it can be played on a 450mhz 32 mb vid card (me) smoothly
Also, CS competitions have prizes of "get ready for this" (200k euro) BF competitions? max.... 1k AFAIK



What lag? CS 1.5 is much better
Go on a dedicated server and the ping (if the server is in your city) will usually not exceed 100, which translates into 0.1 seconds of lag
Can you REALLY notice 0.1 seconds of lag? (btw, i'm running DSL) that's what mine is
usually, my ping is ~ 70

u just bought a game and hes telling u to get another new game? dont listen to him.
cs is a very fun game with lots of players at ANY given time compared to double helix or any other game.
1 advice for u when u play cs, always MOVE & never hold the fire button, cuz it reduces accuracy, just clicking it will make u a better player instantly.

2: cs may be old but its still fun, why would he buy it if he wasnt into it? you MUST be stupid to do that...
3: ill clarify the part that makes no sense, cs has lots of players online playing at ANYTIME, so u wont find an empty server as much as unreal tourney.

Anyway.. Zeno, if youre looking to hang out with a bunch of CS'ers, you can get on mIRC and go to server west.gamesnet.net - Join channel #rehab. I hang out there, and so do a few other CS'ers. I also hang out in #bay. Theres a crapload there..

cs is real hard for n00bs rite now, alot of people are in their peak rite now. cs owns all other games. system of fire inaccurate? stop spraying and praying N00B!

theres no lag, unless you have a bad cable modem, filter out everything slower than 100 ping, i go on servers and get 10~40 ping. anything slower and its jsut gay
