I get a G35 in 2 years!

My dad said that once he finishes paying off his G35 (sedan) he'll no longer be in need of a 4 seater to accomodate us kids, or anyone else for that matter. (my brother just turned 16, so he can haul himself around now, he's the youngest). So once he pays it off, he was thinking about selling it and getting a Porsche. I asked if he could instead sell my car (98 Duratec Taurus SE) and let me have the G35. He said if I can keep my driving record clean, then no problem! Wahoo!
 
Keep it clean? No way in hell would I put a body kit or anything on it. I would however want true dual exhaust. One pipe doesnt look god IMO, so that's gonna change. But nah, it's an awesome car, and I wouldn't do anything major to it. Except maybe a supercharger.

I stupid. When I hear the word clean I think either 'car that looks good' or 'girl who doesnt sleep around'. My driving record looks like it's been thrown in a toilet. Its dirtier than a new york hooker. I think that's why my dad made the offer...he knows there is no way in hell it will ever be clean. But.....I can show him...muwhahahahah...
 
Why not just buy your own? It's a lot more rewarding knowing you paid for something yourself, and you'll treat it so much better.

Well. I think of it this way. He is going to give me the car. A car is worth lots of money. Money that I wouldnt have to spend. I am only 18 years old. Unlike some kids, I know that such a car is.....not something to be taken for granted. There is no way in the world I could ever afford it ATM, and I was just excited about the thought of being given such an awesome gift. I didnt have to buy my first car. It was my mom's. My dad gave me the Explorer and my mom got an Expedition. I had to give the explorer back when I didnt want it anymore. I bought a Mustang. Bad choice and it cost me. Sold the mustang and bought a Taurus. So far it has been doing awesome for what I paid for it (4k -mustang trade).

That's great news, Bob! I've never driven the sedan, but if it's anything like the coupe you've got quite an incredible car ahead of you. :)
 
Those wheels arent exactly my style. The ones that are on the car now will do fine. I dont want to put a whole lot of money into it seeing as how Im a poor college student. It is fine just the way it is. Hopefully it will stay that way for the next two years.

Whatever. You can go around rollin on dubs wherever and whenever you want. I like the looks of the sedan. Sure the coupe looks better, but oh well. I welcome the look, and the space is something I'll definitely be needing.
 
Great news, even tho its not a coupe its still very nice :D The G35 sedan you guys got is the RWD one right? They just came out with 4WD G35 using the GT-R's Altessa system. Either way so nice. Good luck in keeping your record clean.

Not at all. Veilside is the devil. The spoiler on the car is perfectly fine for the kind of driving us normal human being do.

Edit - Yeah, it's the RWD one. He's had it over a year now. We got it around October of 02. Or maybe it was November....I can't remember.

I really don't care for the Veilside kit, myself. The side skirts look like cheap afterthoughts.

Wow, nice car you're gonna hopefully get! A guy at my school drives the G35 coupe with the Brembos and I still drool over it eventhough I see it every day. It's the closest NA will get to a Skyline (unless you import one).

And those are some seriously fugly wheels on the Veilside. Otherwise very nice bodykit.
