In about 11 hours to be exact. Twleve years of schule down the drain. Not the "wasted" drain, but the "it's gone and happened" drain. So send money, quick.

Are any of you fools graduating this year? Have any of you already graduated? You probably have, but that assumption could nearly be disproved with a quick search through these threads. Feel free to talk about life after high school, or whatever you foreign people call it. :indiff:

If you're going to college afterwards, no matter how easy you think it may be, go to all of your classes. From my experience, that is 90% of the battle of getting good grades in college. Sure, you have work to do outside of class, but being there is the most important thing. I learned that the hard way the 1st semester of my freshman year.

Enjoy your summer after graduation too, it was one of my favorites. Spend as much time with your friends as possible too, as relationships with some of them will change once you're out in the real world. The friendships that matter will stay, but you'll find that you'll stop hearing from some people as they get their own lives and do their own things.

Congratulations Keef!

I graduated last year, and as Max Powers mentioned, last summer was one of the best summers I've ever had. Are you going to college? Are you getting a job? Good luck with whatever you have planned after high school 👍

It's already taking effect. Then again, I remember my days (daze?) just before graduation...sort of.

Okay Pupik, you got me on the "twleve", but "schule" is school, auf Deutsch.

And yes, I'm getting my first job over the summer. It's at a golf course, Yankee Trace, doing "maintenance", and they held back my start day until June 12--I suppose so I can operate the big mowers amd stuff. That'll only last until September though, when I'm off to the local community college, Sinclair, where I'll study industrial design and CAD and all that. Maybe architecture, but only if it proves to be less boring than in high school. But since I'm not a big fan of having a job while in school and I don't know my schedule I'll be back on parental monetary support through two years of school. I might transfer to a big university afterwords, most likely for some sort of mechanical or civil engineering, but I'm sort of scared of the big college thing, so there's only a slight chance of that. I mean, my name isn't Sage or anything, so don't expect too much.:D

I got back from practice about an hour ago. Some friends and I just hung out downtown for a while, feeling cool and fancy. Good times. The ceremony starts in 3 hours, at 6:30, and I'll tell you how it went. This auditorium is extrememly particular about what goes on--no airhorns, screaming, throwing of caps, not eve crying babies. Seriously, if the kid's being a little ***** they can go to the lobby and watch the events on the multitude of plasma screens spread about. I hope no one screws up.

I'm back.

And I'm left wanting. Wanting to never, ever, do that again. It sucked. I'll love it tomorrow, but it sucked today. You old guys know how it is. And I feel a little wierd giving advice, seeing as I only experienced it a couple hours ago, but you future grads will understand soon enough. Just don't screw up and get in trouble in your last few years. And don't get caught and charged with sexual battery four days before you walk, like a kid from my class. There's you're advice.

I guess it's rape for kids under 18. Or maybe it is rape. All I know is I didn't get caught, he did.

[sarcasm]I was just kidding, I didn't beat her up, I just gave her little taps.[/sarcasm] But the other kid, yes, he got in big trouble.

EDIT: GT4, you Canadians get that technical?
post-secondary institution
We just call it college, and yeah, I'm going to the community "post-secondary institution". Taking industrial design (drafting, mechanical design, maybe architecture).

Yes congratulations!
Who did he rape? Anyone you know? How did the incident affect them? Was he mentally disturbed? Was he an outcast with no life? Was he a perv? Did you know him? Did you like him? Did you know her? Did you like her? What did they do to him?...
I find this very disturbing.

Rogue is very intrigued by a bad kids actions. Dude, all you need to know about it is "don't do it". I don't know anything about what happened, except that they were all drunk and he ws a popluar kid. I never hung out with him or anything.

Congratulations keef! 👍 Now my son, you become a man. Well, that's what my dad told me, 10 months down the line aaaaand I still play my Playstation everyday and find The Late Show With David Letterman rather funny... :D

Damn, you were still in high school? I should've been, like, talking down to you more and stuff. j/k

Congratulations, keef. 👍 And good luck with college in the fall. :)

Congrats on the graduation  . I should be graduating this year, but I have to re-sit an exam I missed due to bad traffic in August. No idea what I want to do, but it's a bit of a shame my uni career is over so quick. Oh, well.

Hey, thanks for the 'grats, and good luck to you other '06ers out there.

This year is my last year of school. I don't really want to leave. I really don't want to just work for the next fifty-odd years, I already hate my part-time job. I can't help but feel as though I've wasted quite a lot of my time and intelligence over the past twelve years and instead of sitting around on the computer, I should have been studying or doing assignments (Right now I'm doing two assignments, both of which are in the procrastination stage) but I do still have 5 months to rectify this, to a degree.

I'll do it next week...
