I kinda lied about my age when signing up. I'm not far off from my fake age, however. I'm actually 19, still in highschool, and I just recently got my license(I absolutely suck at driving, I've had my permit up until yesterday), and I admit I can be a childish brat, and a fool. A few other older members are all probably going to say something like "I KNEW IT!", but I don't really care.

I just wanted to throw this out there to let people know. I suck at lying for long periods of time. I also hate lying as well. If this gets me in any trouble, I'll take it.

Why would you lie about that? I mean, in your mind, what's the difference between a 17 and a 19 year old?

Just curious, nothing else.
 
19 and in highschool? Cool, is that like the accellerated 6 year program or something?! :lol:

Didn't care what your age was before, don't care now. There's guys on here that are 14 but post as well as a 40 year old, and vise versa. I'd rather judge you on your posts than whatever age you said you were when you signed up.

Tends to be this age in high school where you are either a bad-ass in your own mind and possibly in the "in-crowd" or you are awkwardly figuring out how all the social bits work and spend more time with games and technology, which would be the case here I can imagine. Which is fine, that is where I was at that age.

Just takes some effort and time to get out of that phase. Hell, took me to my early 20's to fully get out of it. And by out it, just get comfortable being who I wanted to be.
 
I was going to say 19 and in High School? I'm 17 and in High School, as are tons of other members.

well, that's weird, because my 19th birthday is coming up, and my birth year is 1992... dammit, I clicked 1993, didn't I? *sigh*
 
You're turning 19 and are still in highschool? Did your parents start you late, or did you take a year off when GT4 came out?
 
Oh don't worry, when I joined (way back in 2003!) I remember making up some elaborate lie about being 24 and owning all manner of supercar, including a Citroen Xsara Picasso that had a V8 and 4WD.

I've grown up a lot since then. Kind of. I still own that car in my mind.

A lot of people talk about lack of trust when talking to people online. How can you trust someone if you're not prepared to be honest yourself? Having said that, it's hardly an enormous lie you've told. I didn't even know you'd stated an age until reading this thread.

Good on you for admitting you were lying. There's nothing wrong with being 18 on this forum. I was 15 when I started on this forum.

Neither. I have learning disabilities, I'm A.D.D., and I have anger-management issues(well, used to), so, therefore, I flunked a coupla years. 9th grade was impossible until I switched schools. went from public to pivate, and from that school to an even more private school(40 students and under, total). Now I actually can freaking learn crap, without teachers telling me I'm a 🤬 retard.(thanks to Mr. Richard Hudson @ Lamar High School)

also, :lol: with the GT4 thing. I did consider taking at least a few months off to get halfway through it... still only 10% through the game:scared:
