Is it possible to attach software (I programmed something in visual basic and wanted to share it as it's only 24k)? If so, is it the same as attaching pictures?

You can put it in a .zip file and upload it the way you'd upload images.

Yes, like snoop said, you can attach virtually any file by first putting it into a zip file and then posting it.
