I decided to set these assists settings: TCS 2, ABS Standard, the rest off. I driving Gr. 4 cars really well. But I have problems with driving using N500 and above cars. Tires are spinning and dragging (even with TCS 5) which makes me slower and wheels are less sensitive and I getting out the turn. When I will set again my old assists - ASM + strong countersteering + TCS 3 (ABS still Standard) the tire problem has gone but problem on sharp turns still exists. What can I do to better handle N500+ cars?

Coming from grippy GR cars there is quite a difference. Just need a bit more practise and a decent setup.

What set of Tyres you're running on? If your N500 cars are max-tuned, then you will need racing slicks to handle the extra power.

Also, try to fiddle with the transmission and make the first gears longer.

I was trying all types and it's the same on all. I tried manual, it helped me on Willow Springs challenge achieve 250 km/h but on Driving School it's not help. It's even make worse. I switched to Automatic and made gold on this exercise

you have to drive much slower with road cars, it's a huge change of mindset due to the epic handling of the race cars, but you'll get there. Just keep the car stock or use BoP. Overtuning the cars power just makes the experience worse. Just don't touch the power outside of drift lobbies, in my opinion.

However SM or SS are good tyres for road cars when on a track, you'd probably get tyres a bit like that IRL when doing some track days.

If you are just doing single player stuff, then put on Super Soft tires. It's a massive improvement and not that far from GR4 on RH. And as GTWelsh said, don't put too much power on these cars, you will be breaking more than driving :D

I gonna upload some videos.

Here, without TCS

Here, TCS 2, ABS Standard, rest off, Porsche 911 GT3 RS, group N, tuned, level 4 engine, level 3 weight, modificated throttle, automatic transmission, racing hard tires

Here, definition of the problem. TCS 2, ABS Standard, rest off, Fort Mustang GT 2015 with made by my own Need For Speed Payback livery. Tuned on max for both weight and engine, N700, racing hard tires. The controller was so vibrating during gear shift.

Here, TCS 2, ABS Standard, rest off, Mercedes-AMG (i hope i remembered the name well), non-tuned, non-modificated, sport hard tires. This driving is pretty good.

I'm sure I saw the stability counter decrease when a tyre with more grip is put on. But I also think sports soft is the best tyre for road cars.

Unless you meant super soft race tyres which I would disagree with for a road car.

I don't mean to be nasty here but are you intentionally driving badly to exaggerate your issues?

If so then I think it's pointless to do that. Drive to the best of your ability and your issues might never arise.

On the limit testing is helpful but it looks like your doing things that would probably never happen if you were driving correctly.

I find that with N500 cars, or most mid tier to high tier road cars, you're going to be breaking earlier than GT cars and have a lot more under steer because of weight balance and suspension setup.

Watching those videos I'm not sure what you expect

1. Corner entry is poor - you're in the middle of the track approaching the corners - you need to use the full width of the track
2. Once you have the car in to the corner you seem to think all you need to do is go full throttle and let the traction control manage the exit
3. As per corner entries, you aren't getting anywhere near using the full width of the track on the exits

I'd forget about tuning your cars, and stick with lower powered stuff until you've at learnt the basics of track driving - like using proper lines.

I race with a group of guys who run this almost exclusively. The aids seem to make things worse. I can't say why.

Its pretty clear in your videos that your just mashing the gas pedal. Of course you're going to spin out. I use R2 as my gas pedal and just slowly feather it down on corner exit and only floor it when my car is straight.

Yes, I love the road cars, from N300 to N1000. I only use the braking indicator, cones, driving line, and weak abs. I turn off cones and driving line once I really know the track.

You do have to be gentle in and out of the corner. Use the driving line. Brake in a straight line when possible, full pressure is not always needed. Then as you exit you gently apply throttle as your front wheels straighten out. After some practice you should have a feel for how much throttle you can get away with. They are rewarding to drive fast and at the limit, but takes work to get to that point. Good luck!

No, I think it's too early to worry about online races. When I bought GT Sport, I was enjoying this game, even on assists, maybe I wasn't great driver, but I was enjoying. I just wanted to turn off some assists to make less trials to get gold in Driving School missions. But these N500+ cars. For today I stopped enjoying the game and began worrying. Just beacuse I can't handle tuned N700 car on new assist settings. I could not tune this cars. No tune, no problem, I could save mile points. I completed just 25% of the singleplayer campaign so I shouldn't think about online races. I have to stop think and enjoy singleplayer content. I'm doing SP with this order: Driving school > Mission challenge > GT League > Circuit experience. But thanks for the advices. I will use them. Tomorrow I turning on driving help line to check if sticking to it will help

@Mati_Blaster In all the videos, your inputs are too much for everything. You smash the throttle way before the apex. Think of the throttle and brakes as oranges. If you want juice you need to squeeze them. If you smash it you will get juice everywhere but in the glass.

100% brake or throttle should really only be in a straight line or close to in most scenarios especially with high powered cars.

Try practicing in time trials driving the cars with no TCS and no ABS. If you can put together half decent consistent laps with that set up, you should find it very easy to drive with them turned back on

I was training on time trial! Without TCS i was losing control of the car when I wanted to accelerate on turns that's why I set TCS on 2. I have the problems with road cars (N500-1000), with Gr. 3, Gr. 4, N100-300 no driving problems

Im having problems with sharp turns too. I found out that in some cases the front wheels dont turn all the way, even when the speed is low. When I stop the car and keep the joystick to the left, the wheels arent fully turned. Only ABS is switched on to standard, rest of all driving aids are off. Looks like a bug???

I have, always, the feeling that the DS4 compared with the previous PS controller is not at the same level for this kind of game..
Today the developers base the new driving game in the use of wheel ...

Let's pretend I won't play Sport mode but I will play in online lobbies. Can I enjoy playing solo in GT Sport?

Or I will do that. I will turn on all assists for N500-1000 cars and drive the rest of cars with less assists
